Peace

While you shred this little bit of reality I hope you can share a prayer for the slaughtered children.

to the UNRWA, between August of 1989 and August of 1993, 1,085 people treated in its clinics had been shot in the head, of whom 545 were under the age of sixteen, and of whom 97 were under the age of six. A study by the Association of Israeli and Palestinian Physicians for Human Rights (PHR-Israel) reveals that during five years of the Al-Aqsa Intifada, a child under the age of six was shot in the head every two weeks.

Your Beloved Israel ,..Wow.sad flower

Peace

Ah, Here are some facts for you.

According to the Defence of Children International (DCI), of the "595 children killed [29 September 2000 to 30 June 2004], 383, or 64.4%, died as a result of Israeli air and ground attacks, during assassination attempts, or when Israeli soldiers opened fire randomly" and "212 children, or 35.6%, died as a result of injuries sustained during clashes with Israeli military forces".

Wow, while your dancing could you please ask Netanyahu and his subordinates to please stop killing children. sad flower

Peace

And more,...

Later, Mr Erekat admitted that "the Palestinians know they will have a country with limitations.

"They won't have an army, airforce or navy."

The 1,600 confidential records of hundreds of meetings between Palestinian, Israeli and US leaders were leaked to the Qatar-based satellite TV channel al-Jazeera over several months and then shared with the Guardian.

Wow, please tell your IDF to stop killing children.

Another clip from the same "wikileaks" article,

Now THIS is a typical Israeli Peace offering!

When Mr Erekat asked Ms Livni: "Short of your jet fighters in my sky and your army on my territory, can I choose where I secure external defence?". She replied: "No. In order to create your state you have to agree in advance with Israel – you have to choose not to have the right of choice afterwards.

How cool is that??confused

Peace

Thank you all for your well thought, inspiring, posts! I see we are all here and ready for yet another exchange of ideas and positions on Peace in Israel!!

First,

To Ah,
As Mr Paldi and I both see your Hamas charter rant as the same , tired, repetitious diversion. As I've said time and again, the IDF kills thousands of Palestine s mony of them children. This has been exposed on every news feed in the world. Wow, please do a search on Operation Cast Lead and get back me.

Its flagrant murder. Plain and simple.
Secondly,
How does pointing out the aspects of Israeli Apartheid and savagery seem so far from ,....Peace?

Well Ah, as I said, these gross violations of international law and basic human decency are seen by most logical thinkers as a "hindrance to Peace"

There is no hijacked thread.

Peace Ah, and please, no insults.

The biggest documentary leak in the history of the Middle East conflict has shown that the Palestinians were willing to make huge concessions to secure "a country with limitations"

At one point, Saeb Erekat, the PLO chief negotiator, acknowledged that the wins for his side had been so poor that he risked becoming an embarrassment.

"Nineteen years of promises and you haven't made up your minds what you want to do with us... We delivered on our road map obligations... But no, they can't even give a six-month freeze to give me a figleaf.

"What good am I if I'm the joke of my wife, if I'm so weak," he told George Mitchell, Barack Obama's Middle East envoy.

But the concessions continued. The Palestinians were willing to allow Israeli settlements around East Jerusalem and were also prepared to consider "creative ways" to solve the problem of Haram al-Sharif or the Temple Mount.

But the Israelis were unmoved

This is the reason for this thread. Peace (and the obstacles towards Peace.

Peace to all that read this post.

As is evident by the last few pages of posts, one can easily see my charge of "pack" mentality and "insults as a defense" claim I have made consistently throughout these threads.

Peace to you. Mr Paldi in your careful breakdown of the methods and practices of my adversaries here.

To restate the evidence of war crimes and vicious slaughters by the IDF would be a waste of time.

The Carter Center site and the remarks by Desmond Tutu a few weeks ago,and the recent endorsement by the leaders of France, Russia, Brazil and the 44 other countries confirm the opinion in intellectual circles as to both the authenticity and degree of horror the Palestine s endure every day.

In the last few days, alone the IDF has killed one woman with tear gas and a 66 year old man in his sleep (mistaken identity) and now they claim nothing was wrong with the slaughter at sea of nine unarmed peace activists.
Logical thinkers world wide AND international law call the settlements illegal and the treatment of the Palestine s collective punishment.

Scholars disagree as to the original inhabitants of Jerusalem.
The real fact remains that who ever was there "first", thousands of years ago, has no bearing on the situation today.

This is Apartheid in its purest form.

History will evaluate this sad, sad, saga.
And whereas it IS true there are fanatics on both sides ,..I see the lions share of fault lies with Netanyahu and his hard-line colleagues. They are they ones flagrantly ignoring international law. The heavy-handedness, the killing of civilians/children cement this charge.
The vote before the United Nations, which now finally has the backing of Obama, will, at last, show that the will of the American people are in line with the opinion of the rest of the world. Yes Americans want Peace, and at last they are letting the rest of the world know it.

Peace to all.

Thank you, again, Mr. Paldi for your post.

Peace to you sir.

Ah, what a delight it is to have you back my friend. A-t, there will be a important vote soon at the United Nations that will, hopefully get the Peace talks back on track.

Peace

AG, Friend, I know your goal is to de-rail yet another thread with vicious posts that WE'VE exchanged in earlier confrontations( that resulted in both you and I being banned from posting in the forums) I try and present simple facts and back up those facts with links to substantiate same. All my efforts here are to stop the slaughter friend.

Peace AG

Peace

No of course, friend, as I've pointed out before, whereas fragments of the resistance to apartheid in the occupied territories and Gaza still have this defiant "language" in their "charter" ,..the reality , on the ground as we both know is that Israel slaughters, on average over 1000 Palestine Men, Women, and Children.sad flower per year whereas the Israeli deaths average less than 10.sad flower Which satisfies the 100 to 1 kill ratio Israel likes to maintain. sad flower

Peace AG, welcome back

We will see. Peace

So there is a vote in the United Nations that speaks to the legitimacy of the settlements. And, from last reports, the US has finally "cut the cord" on the blind support ,......" Where does everyone stand.sad flower

Pat! Mate! What am I chopped liver (livah ??) Why don't you comment on my posts where we are in agreement?confused

Peace

Peace to all who read these pages.

This forum is centered on Peace in general. Peace in Israel in particular. Antjo and I are on the same plane in regards to Palestine oppression. Pat and I seem to be in partial agreement with respect to Jerusalem.
Conrad and I are even in agreement on disagreement! So see! It's all progress!grin

Peace

patmac: Thanks asked and answered can youjust confirm I am whom I say I am.

As to your question of Jerusalem, well that is a pearler. However,
if the Extremists from all factions renounced their individual claims on the City then it could be used as a holy city for all.

Not the whole of Jerusalem of course but only the old ancient religious sites and their immediate environs. under a MULTI FAITH EDICT Banning any action on each religions behalf.

The rest of Jerusalem would be open to the normal border controls of the nation the treaty talks decide upon.

The rest I can only say goes as per the hoped for future peace agreement. As always JMO

Mate!! I said I was down with all that! We agree on something!! Mate! The only thing I would want is (If a miracle happens and I can afford the trip) if I were to go to Jerusalem. I wouldn't want to have to go through a strip search IDF check point to do so. Thats all! grin

Peace

I'm good with ALL that mate!grin

Peace

Dear Heart. My computer is so old and my dial up speed so slow that You Tube is not a option. I can assume what the gist of the video is. And , again , without seeing it I can't judge the merit. So please tell me what the basis of disagreement presented in the video is? Please?

Peace

Peace

Well Mate, at the risk of redundancy, I said that your "persona" was grossly inconsistent! You know, the "one (refined, humble) post per month suddenly accelerated up to 50 or 75 "caustic, lewd and "Albertesque" posts per day! And, yes I did ask if you may have transferred your login and password to Al et al as, again, YOU just didn't seem to be YOU!

Peace friend. sad flower

Peace

Again, friend, I am no jurist, so tell me, why do major news feeds around the world , run articles that support the position of "pre-67 borders? If the concept has no merit?confused

Peace

Peace

I too enjoy a Bass or two and perhaps a blast of Johnny Walker (Red) on Sunday. I play billiards like a border collie hurds sheep. Can't stop myself.

All I ask Mate is that you let me know when you leave and come back , that way I'll know not to send posts to "cyberland"sad flower

Peace

Lets watch our rhetoric friend. grin Can we say Conrad that "some" people in the world, like the French, and Russians feel there is substance to "pre-67 borders? Maybe?sad flower

??????? Sorry Ms, It was meant to be taken as a figure of speech. No condescension implied or inferred. And arrogance??? I left arrogance back in High School. I try and address people as I would like to be addressed. If you see "arrogance" then I suppose it is there, at least in your interpretation. No insult or arrogance intended.

Peace Ms. sad flower

"The European Union reaffirmed its position very clearly in December 2009, indicating it would not recognise any modification of the 1967 borders unless it was agreed by both parties, including east Jerusalem," she said.

Didn't see anything in the UN charter that spoke of Jerusalem as being the undeniable future capitol? Did I miss something?

Peace

Mate? Mate! Where did you go? Not back to the bar? Don't you get tired of the drink lad? The singing, the frivolous laughter and all! Come back Mate! Lets argue for crying out loud. I won't lie, propagandize or any of those things, I'll be unbiased in all my posts ! Really I will Mate. The 100 to 1 thing is all good! I mean it! , Come back Mate! sad flower

Peace

Hi Mate! Yes! A fine lad you are! And a fine job you did! So Mate, tell me , what is your position on Jerusalem?confused

Peace

You know, your right Colleene, there are other areas of the world that concern me too. Somalia, for example. there sure needs to be some "international" intervention right there. confused
