Just because me and the rest of the world are watching and wondering what will become of this, the ultimate test for Israel. Is it a compassionate, thought provoking settlement to years and years of conflict? Or just another display of a bully beating up a little kid?
With absolutely no news whatsoever on any developments in the failed peace talks one can draw from this that there will be no two-state solution. More suffering. Collective punishment. Land grab. Rocketry. Purges. International condemnation. And, as Israel has so carefully calculated, there will be no peace with the Palestinians. So it becomes clear that Israel does not want peace.
You know Conrad, I found it interesting that the Palestinian Authority dispatched fire fighters to assist Israel in fighting the fires in Haifa. Curious.
