I could see it if Jerusalem was declared a International City of Worship with it s own sovereignty.

But what the real problem here ttom is this "security" thing. Does the United States need "security" from Canada? Does any country cry "security" more than Israel? Why are there so many nations that have a beef with Israel? In terms of "international relations" why is Israel having such a problem?
