Not if they are doing the same job!!!!! If we´re talking about who brings the larger wage packet home.........that is a question of ego for the male, cos that´s the indoctrination of our society. Love should actually solve the problem..........but, unfortunately, sometimes it doesn´t.

I have found that secrets are often kept to protect others. If asked a direct question which would necessitate divulging said secret........I may or may not lie, that would be weighed up at that particular time. These are burdens carried and choices made throughout life. Being an imperfect person, I try to understand the imperfections in others.
Only a suggestion as, when things get over-heated in an argument, it is often better to step back and think kinder thoughts. It´s not necessary to take things to such bitter extremes. When the bickering gets out of hand on these forums, channelling pleasanter thoughts into conversation can diffuse the situation. However, sometimes it´s kinda hard to do when ur in the middle of a full scale attack, so the quick conjuring up of kindness personified could be an answer.
