anyone been to see "Wicked"? Daughter and I managed to get $69.00 seats for the final show on Sunday, in the Dress Circle. Are these good seats at the Burswood Dome?
why? I see and meet so many people who simply cannot live without a man or woman in their lives, so they grab onto anyone (even if they are not really suitable). I have never been like that, hence I have been single for many years. I guess for me, I love my independence, and I would find it too hard to give up just for a regular "roll in the hay".
trouble is people nowadays CANNOT protest, there are no marches etc anymore, because of insurance, policing, politics etc etc, people nowadays have no right for redress, maybe that is also a reason why people are so unhappy, they feel they are not being heard.
not sure how it all compares to other States, but it is not the Perth I have known and loved for years and years. Drugs, particularly meth, is the big problem here and of course, that is a by product of unhappy people.
Hi Kat, thanks for your very honest reply. You are young, my son is around your age, and has suffered depression since he was 16, he is now 26. He doesn't like "society" or "people", they frustrate him no end to the point where he doesn't want to be alive. He has just recently had another setback where he now has Hodgkins disease, and is currently undergoing chemo for it, however getting him to have the treatment has been a long, hard and still ongoing battle, as he feels he would rather just die from the cancer. He is highly intelligent, where it gets to the point you just can't talk to him "normally". He is also a fantastic musician, songwriter etc. I feel he is wasting his life away, but obviously he doesn't, as he hates life according to the way the rest of us live it.
hence why I've been single since my divorce in 1994. I didn't want a revolving door of "boyfriends" whilst I was raising my two children, I've seen that that does to kids. Got used to not dating for so long, then when the kids finally left the nest, I was too set in my ways, and independent, still haven't dated. Some may think that is sad, but I have been quite content to be on my own, really irks me when people "feel sorry" for me, but I will not risk my own sanity again just for the sake of being with someone.
know that a lot of us women like a man to be a gentleman..open doors etc. What do the men expect of us women, can we be 'gentlewomen'? What type of things should we do?
I absolutely love aftershave, if it smells good enough, could wear it myself, yumm............. I have actually been attracted to a man just from the aftershave he was wearing, trouble is he stopped wearing it, and it just wasn't the same
