I find there are still gentlemen out there even in the younger people, it is an personal attitude not just an upbringing.
Yes you tend to expect for it not to be the young that will open doors but, some do and it is a lovely occurence.
I am a woman, and generally act like a lady, but can rough it with the fellas if I need too.
I will also open doors for men as well as other women.
To me it is a matter of having courtesy for each other. It goes both ways

Times have changed somewhat Rob, but theres quite a few ladies still about, you just need to look.Faithe: A question for both you and Rob. How do you decide if a woman is a lady? Is it by the way she dresses or by the way she acts in her everday life?
I think its in the manner thy conduct themselves. Both the way treat and respect men and just there over all bearing, quite tentative open and honest, they stand out above other people in a crowd. For guys i think its instinctive awareness of her presents.
Save me answering the other comment below, has got nothing to do with IT appraisals of another person, which are never correct as far as my limited experience of meeting people offline.
The essence in a good woman a gentlewoman is her support.
One thing that is important is when you're apart.
If she goes out with the girls and drags you down endlessly,that's disaffection!.If she has a low opinion of you,it needs to be confined and unwound,in the same way.you shouldn't be dragging her name through the mud.If theres a problem fix it at home.or tackle the issue constructively,but you don't need her to be plaguing your reputation when other cafones are willing to do it already.If she's got to criticize you .its better to do it to your face.
If she nags you this is serious deadly problem.like the black mold growing in a bathroom,its best to recognize this early.I'm certain that nagging shortens a mans lifespan more than smoking.
Taking risks means working towards success and if you have a good woman,its like leaving the house in newly pressed shirt.
A woman that believes in your dreams will make reaching your goals a whole lot better because she helped you get there.
