I lost 120 lbs last year. Before that, I was very sore and weak. My doctor told me to lose the weight, but also tested for fibromyalgia. There are 18 pressure points on the body. If the doctor puts pressure on a point, and you feel discomfort, then that point is positive for fibromyalgia. You need to have 15 of the 18 pressure points to be positive to be diagnosed for fibromyalgia. I tested positive for 10 points, but my doctor told me that I can "reverse" the trend if I lost weight and exercised. He was right.
I am also bipolar. Depression is affected by seratonin (a chemical in the brain) levels, and other causes. Seratonin also helps regulate the control of the body's ability to deal with pain. Endorphins help control amount of pain you are in, and seratonin helps control endorphins. So depression could be the cause of body pain.
Disclaimer...If I am wrong about any info I presented, I am sorry....my memory isn't great! But I am pretty confident I am correct about these things.
