Great thread. Maybe taking a break from here for a few days will help.
There are some people who just want to instigate. They don't care about other people's feelings and somehow enjoy being jerks. All I can say to that is, it really must suck for them to get out of bed everyday!
But the majority of people here are like you Stew....good decent people who have some fun and want to meet someone special. All of your posts are fun, upbeat and considerate. Keep the faith....
I am 45 years old ad my knees say NO to jogging. But I do walk 16 miles a day....8 in the morning and 8 at night. I just love walking on the beach..........the bikinis...I mean the scenery is so beautiful!
I feel the exact same way as you. I thought I had found my soulmate, but it's over now.
But you have to keep trying. Maybe noone will ever capture your heart like your ex, but maybe you need to protect your heart from being captured. Maybe you can love someone very much and still remain true to yourself.
Everyone is "guilty" of having physical appearance as being one of the criteria about dating. I put guilty in quotes because in today's world, people try to say that appearance isn't important, but who are they trying to fool?
We are all human and attraction is part of our process in selecting someone who we may be interested in. Men and women are both "guilty" of this. This may seem harsh, but it is reality.
