Wait until the end of this month when the US Department of Transportation launches a "pilot" program to open the Mexican border to 100 Mexican trucking companies. No limit on the amount of trucks or drivers as long as they are affiliated with these companies. These 100 companies will be allowed to go anywhere in the US that their load takes them. Is all about driving freight rates lower than they are already.
Thirty five years or so ago, all of these so called "scientists" were worried about global cooling and how we were headed for another ice age. I think we should do just as Gore wants and totally eliminate carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Obviously that mental giant has forgotten that plants that produce oxygen, need carbon dioxide to produce it.
Funny you should mention the hospitality industry. Seems to me that the current speaker of the house, who is supposedly a friend to labor, owns a resort and refuses to allow any union to represent her employees.
Unions, to me, are an excellent example of why Socialism will never work.
I can remember a time when Roadway had to extend the dip sticks and oil fill tubes through the outside of the hood on the trucks because the union would not allow the drivers to open the hood.
