RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

The unexplained may be interesting for you. How can a stand alone backup hard drive system that takes and saves multiple mirror images of my laptop HDD have corrupted files on each "image" including those predating the physical drop damage to the laptop? And does a computer that successfully boots on startup have a physically damaged drive or is it something else?

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Thanks for your help. The IT people take everyones 'puter for a day and load on their anti-malware and virus programs and set up the proprietry systems we all use. What's put inside the box isn't up to me. Laptops fly off the seats of moving cars all the time... occupational hazard. I will never buy another one of this manufacture again. Drive failures twice in a year is too much. The IT folk were not able to determine the cause of the drive failure or the currupted files on my stand alone backup drive which did not fail. So it seems there was both physical damage and software/virus issues of some kind.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

What connection could there be? Is he on the firing lines in Libya? Swimming lessons with Osama?

I just think he was banned from the site. Maybe he's still here or looks in without logging in? His computer was old and feeble and perhaps it fell prey to a virus or mad cow disease! Lot of that going around.sleep

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

doh time zones... so that's how you did it, plus changing your name on the site. very clever very clever

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

That's your style to use one pen name across your global internet experiance and proof that you're a great guy. Now if we were to eliminate from here all people who have ever used a different screen name on another internet site, the whole place would vanish, except for you.rolling on the floor laughing

GLOBASLIST - How to Change Display Name

Depending on your permissions, you may be able to use this tool to change your display name which is used across the community.

So, you suddenly became yourself. You lose again. May as well change your name back to what ever it was before today.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

That's pathetic, you posted under my post on Globalist TODAY! That post of mine has been up there for much longer than that. I just looked now and now is the first time I've been on the site in a while. Sooo A little late don't you think? We've been talking about how clever you are and all...rolling on the floor laughing

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Just to be clear, all of the words in that article you just cut 'n pasted were those of the author of the piece, not me. The only thing I said was "Uh oh, trouble brewing?"

I win. You're putting somebody's word in MY mouth, as usual.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

A cut n paste, nothing to do with MY "style" just a statement that supports my fear that there may be trouble as a result of OBL's death. If you don't agree with that prediction that's your priviledge. I don't see anything wrong with stating a 4-word "opinion" designed to spark a commentary.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Sorry, you've mentioned the cassandra thing before. I don't know what it is.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Indeed it shall, but so is every day with her.blushing

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

The proof that you recognized me on the Globalist and said something like "hi Paldi" is not there. There is no proof of anything other than that you are or may be a member. Conrad noticed and posted about it here, as did Leigh.

Me post on a different website with another name and try to score points? That's hilarious. As if using a different penname is a sin. I've posted a couple of times and made respectful comments and joked a little bit with Conrad. No harm in that. I like him and what he's trying to accomplish there. I suppose you are posting as "patmac" on the Globalist then? Don't think so.

Really pat, you lost this one. Twice.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

I believe there's a "wink" after the boat comment on my profile. I sold my boat, both of them. Want something bigger to go with the long boat dock. laugh

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

No offence taken. Enjoy yourself! Keep an ear out for the sirens and get a house with a safe room. If we're lucky the phrophasy of doom will all blow over so to speak, but it pays to be careful.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

I knew you were a member, you didn't know I was. That was my point... hence the hinting which went over your clever head.

I think i win this round. Go take your vacation. I hear Austria is nice this time of year. The hills are alive with the sound of music. Maybe you'll get some sleep

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

I don't find the place very enlightening, mainly because there are too few members. Why don't you register? We can keep in touch after you relocate... It would be great to know someone who is living there and can report first hand, like that fellow who is doing such a great job on the Libya thread.thumbs up

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Old guys need to take a piss more frequently, that's a fact!

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Too late pat, you had no clue who Apollo was until now or you surely would have said so at the time.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Be sure to say hello to Rosie for me... Al and Conrad...and the rest of the entire ex-pat group!

Many have escaped CS for another planet! grin

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Sounds yummy...

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Indeed. But they got back in one piece. I saw the movie.

Pretty quiet on the globe these days... maybe the link will bring you a few more members...thumbs up

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

If you find her on J-Date next time you're on there let me know.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

OK pat... go to the Globalist and find Apollo13. That's me circling the globe in my little spaceship, holding my breath.

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Austrian and a great cook!laugh

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Pat totally missed the Apollo circling the globe reference. So much for cleverness.laugh

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

I have no idea what you are babbling about, pat. Understanding the written word isn't a forte of yours... ESL perhaps?

My date has red hair. She's Jewish. I'd like to serve up the kiss in Hebrew with a dash of Jameson on the rocks. I've got the phrase on bablefish. I wanted to run it by Wow. So you're popping in with a comment on the youtube is for what? confused

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

Thats a better topic than burial at sea and the other too.laugh

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"

OK laugh

RE: burial at sea "demeans family"
