RE: Reflections - thought I'd share........

As I see it, you can reflect on others and already be fulfilled within your self.

I can point out the mite in your eye, since I have already pulled the plank out of my own eye. Something like that in the Bible (I am not religious, by the way, just highly spiritual). I guess what I am trying, awkwardly, to say, is that is you have already learned how to love and accept yourself, then surely you are entitled to use constructive comments to help someone else learn the same things.

I look because I have a potential friend out in CS world, a person who has piqued my curiosity by her most intelligent conversation. Her profile has no picture, but none is needed. The looks are not important, the friendship and chats are very important. So I eagerly check in and hope to see my mailbox shining bright red.

RE: anti american & anti west

There are skeletons lurking in the closets of all countries -- plenty of dirty linen to spread around, including America.

We had this little thing called a Civil War. Plus we experiments on African-Americans back in the 50's, I believe, giving them STD's. We also tested nuclear bombs with no regard for the fallout that was falling on American citizens. Add to that the prisoner abuses and torture -- and we are not saints.

So, in so many words, accept a country's sainthood with a grain of salt. They all act in their own interests, without regard to what the impact may be.

The message I received was that I was blocked due to either being out of the age range you specified, or out of the distance requirement you set.

RE: Many men on CS are not intrested in a partner/relationships...

No, it read nothing like that. It said what it said, nothing more, nothing less. The point was that older men also have value to women, of any age, as companions, friends and, with the right person, perhaps a soul mate. I never used the words "young hot CS women" in my post. You are reading things into it that were not there.

And I have never attacked you. Just disagreed with what you said.

I sense in you a woman full of bitterness for no apparent reason.

And, yes, you are entitled to your opinion, no question.

Ask politely and you get a prompt, polite answer!

RE: Many men on CS are not intrested in a partner/relationships...

PandoraX: But I "do" flower them also. Beauty is not limited to the young. And to refer to any woman as "fresh meat" is abhorring to any man with any sense of decency. You should be ashamed of yourself for even implying something you don't know about.

RE: Many men on CS are not intrested in a partner/relationships...

Ms Swissblueeyes:

Unfortunately, there are many of us who are no longer young in body, but our heart minds are still young.

I believe that those of us who are "mature", are here to find someone, just like you. Sure, I'd be a darned liar to say I don't look at pictures of the beautiful young women in CS. But, it is important to note, that the most I do in those situations, is to flower them with a compliment. I am fully aware that younger women are not interested in men such as myself. But, we are here because we still have much to offer: companionship, a passion that young men will never know or understand, because it goes beyond physical boundaries; wisdom that has helped us survive youthful mistakes; an ability to listen and to communicate intelligently; a love for life that the young cannot appreciate or understand until they get past their youth.

Oh, by the way, I don't vote on anyone's pictures.

RE: When a women asks when was the last time you where in a Relationship, reply...

I would probably say over ten years ago. Then I would be tongue-tied and wouldn't know what to say. It has been so long that I am nervous around any woman. I would be terribly shy and would feel naked just talking with her.

Boy, I am "really" nervous, just answering you. The word 'awkward' comes to mind.

RE: this president is a commander in cowardnice

No, he is not. But there is a big difference between constructive criticism and derogatory insults. Yours were the latter.

RE: this president is a commander in cowardnice

No more so than any other person who has run for the office of President. All of them have to want it so bad that they can taste it -- they have to want it more than anything else in the world, or they would never survive the campaign -- nor the thick skin required to withstand stupid comments from people, similar to the one you just made.

But it is a straight up and down fact that he inherited a big mess from "W".

RE: this president is a commander in cowardnice

Your comment is totally inappropriate.

Furthermore, we are not the world's policeman. We can no longer afford the loss of more of our brave men and women, nor our country's treasure, for not better reason than to secure the interests of greedy businessmen and their oil interests.

And as far as Japan goes, we are doing what we can, as we can. The severe danger involved does not allow anyone to ride in, shouting "Wahoo!", shooting off their six guns. Get real, man.

You shouldn't be speaking of our President this way, no matter whether he is Republican or Democrat. He is "our" President!

RE: Why do women automatically go for looks rather than personality!

Basically, it's a genetic thing -- survival of the fittest. Men and women both want their mate to be the best possible person, so that their offspring have the best possible outcomes and chances of survival.professor

RE: Why get Dog when I have Glock

Midnight_Angel_1 -- A responsible gun owner always secures their gun, especially when there are children in the home. If you have both a dog and a gun, she can still play with dog, just not the gun. The dog can sleep in his own bed and your gun can be kept, sleeping, under your pillow. If you have a dog and a gun, the dog can alert you and the gun can take over from there. The gun doesn't need housebreaking and doesn't sniff anything. For your last sentence, refer to my previous sentence.

Which is why I have both!

RE: Why get Dog when I have Glock

I have the best of both worlds, I guess. I have a female Great Pyrenees "and" a high point 40 cal. semiauto.

My dog, Abby, and I, have been together since she was 13 weeks old. She is now almost 12. We're both starting to feel our age. So, since I live alone, with just Abby, I felt I needed a little something extra, just in case, as it's a crazy world we live in these days. My next purchase will be the "judge". For those not up on their handguns, the judge is a pistol that can fire five rounds. But you can choose between a 45 cal., or a 410 shotgun shell, or a 40 cal. A little extra stopping power!

For those of you not familiar with the Great Pyrenees, they originated in the Great Pyrenees mountains, of all places. The breed was created to protect sheep and other livestock from bears and wolves. And in the majority of instances where the dog ran into either the bear or the wolf, the dog won. They are a very aggressive breed of dog and yet very gentle, if they know you. They are wonderful around children. They are very territorial and will fiercely protect what they perceive as their territory, whether it's the inside of your home, your yard, or an entire farm. The biggest drawback to the breed (other than their bi-annual shedding) is they are hugely stubborn. Abby likes to do what Abby likes to do. If that happens to also be what I want her to do, all the better. When she was younger, about every six months or so, I had to forcefully remind her who was chief and who was indian. With dogs like that, especially a large dog like the Pyrenees, you also have to be the dominant "pack leader".

But, as I said, she is getting older and slowing down a bit. And, hell, I started slowing down years ago. So the gun is a bit of an equalizer. If Abby gets to them first, I just wait until she's done and then I get the rest!

And, they are a large dog breed! The average female is about 125 lbs., and males have been known to hit 200 lbs. Abby has always been on the small side, about 80 or 85 lbs.

RE: Are there any really honest men out there?

I believe that most men on this site "are" honest, maybe to a fault.

I also believe that everyone has their own story to tell. The problem may be twofold: First, women who are looking for a perfect man (which doesn't exist); and, second, men who post too much of themselves too soon.

And, of course, this problem can work both ways.

RE: Your favorite day of the week and why?

Actually, at age 61, any day of the week is special to me. Every morning where I can wake up and view the beauty of life all around me, is special.

RE: How To Answer, When was the last time you were in a relationship...

The year 2000, in New Hampshire. A girl friend named Anne. Now, Anne had a 13 year old daughter named Stephanie. Though I cared dearly for the both of them, they were both slobs, and the daughter was spoiled rotten, way beyond what you would expect for a girl that age.

When I moved to West Virginia, everyone was in tears -- my girlfriend, and all of my employees.

So the relationship ended on a somber, sad note. Part of me misses her, but a larger part was happy, as I could not tolerate their living conditions.

RE: USA and Peace

No, definitely not. As others have already posted, we have meddled way too much in the affairs of other countries. Every time we try to help we get slapped in the face by ungrateful people everywhere.

We have our own problems which need to be dealt with. We can no longer be policemen to the world. They need to start taking care of themselves.

RE: Reading Body Language

Everyone is different, so it is hard to say, really. Usually, for me, eye contact conveys a lot about whether or not I should pursue a conversation with someone.

Then, there are those very rare times when you look at someone, who looks back at you -- and you can feel the chemistry at work, really working overtime. Nuff said.

RE: is there a GOD

Human beings need something or someone they can believe in, can turn to with their problems and struggles. Some call it God, or Allah, or Yaweh, or simply a higher power. Some choose to believe only in themselves. None are right. None are wrong. This type of belief is a very personal one and we should respect the rights of all to their own belief system.
