"I can't tell you, Father, I don't want to ruin her reputation"
"Well, Joey, I'm sure to find out her name sooner or later so you may as wel l tell me now. Was it Tina Minetti?'
"I cannot say."
"Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?"
"I'll never tell."
"Was it Nina Capelli?"
"I'm sorry, but I cannot name her."
"Was it Cathy Piriano?"
"My lips are sealed."
"Was it Rosa Di Angelo, then?"
"Please, Father , I cannot tell you."
The priest sighs in frustration. "You're very tight lipped, Joey Pagano, and I admire that. But you've sinned and have to atone. You cannot be an altar boy now for 4 months. Now you go and behave yourself."
Joey walks back to his pew, and his friend Franco slides over and whispers, "What'd you get?"
Sure! You might have noticed from my profile, that I was an education major in college. My favorite television, is educational e.g. The Learning Channel, Discovery, History Channel, etc. Most of what I read is for the purpose of learning about something. I read very little fiction.
I refer to it as non regional diction. Because people around here think I sound like I'm from up North, even though I was born in Louisiana. But, whenever I'm up North they all notice my Southern Drawl.
It has been said that I sound like Matthew McConaughey.
It is the idea that "all is fair in love and war" that confuses and pollutes love, fairness, and makes war so horrible. What is fair should be an ideal, a perfection that we all strive for. It will make love more meaningful, and war less necessary.
That reminds me of a skit on SNL....these college frat boys get some wishes from a genie, and they use their last wish on lesbians. Then a pair of hairy, chubby, butch dikes dressed in flannel and denim are making out in the frat house....and they don't have any wishes left to get rid of them...
I was looking at eugenics dot net, and it occurred to me, that their plan to genetically manipulate utopia will never work. The reason is because there is a certain part of humanity that cannot be genetically manipulated. Genetic superhumans, because of thier superiority, will be even more susceptible to the ego trap. There will always be someone, who considers themself "more" superior.
I believe that there will be "super humans" in the future. Perhaps, in the grand scheme, eugenics is paradoxically a "natural" part of our evolution. Still, a big part of the Earth is spiritually sick, and there is no gene for the human spirit.
