I saw that interview with him full length myself. During that piece he refused to retract an earlier comment in which he stated that he'd had no problem making a phone call to Teheran if he'd knew the whereabouts of Salman Rushdie. Instead he callously remarked that the death penalty is a well accepted form of punishment in all monotheistic religions for apostates.
That opinion of his is a well published fact of life. You may choose to ignore it, but at your own folly.

In most cases these kids are not really "bad". They're jsut acting up because in their simplistic view of the world the best chances of their "real" mom and dad getting back together exists if they can drive the "outsider" out of the house again. Other than showing an angel's patience (and I am no angel myself), I wouldn't know what to do in such a situation myself

The days in which a President could single handedly cause the economy to rise are long gone. All he can do is make a bad situation worse by raising taxes to high or causing the deficit so mushroom ou tof proportion (or by starting a nonsense war at the wrong time).
But if the global market says "economy fall", there is nothing he can do make it rise again.

Yussuf Islam has publically stated that all he wants for his early (non-Islamic) work is to be destroyed completely, w/o any trace left behind. If anything, Yussuf Islam is the classical case of an intolerant zealot and anything but a messenger of peace.

Mine was better. She was a gal from Wisconsin / USA, who had lost both parents and all her siblings in a orrible car crash (sniff, one of those sob stories again), and decided to clear her mind by volunteering to study US agriculture in - of all places - Nigeria.
According to her, all I had to do to disperse my doubts would have been to spend a few hundreds (thousands?) of dollars calling her on her extra charge phone number in Nigeria.
