Do you think that is true or just politically correct propaganda?

How many of you would be with someone who was a hard worker but poor, but who was also kind, wonderful, compassionate and of course who you loved and who loved you? Would you be ok with never receiving those expensive birthday,Christmas and valentines day gifts?

This is not a judgement on anyone who feels money is important in a relationship.

Money doesn't or shouldnt play a role in finding love .. but saying this no one wants to be used for financial gains - thats so unfair ..
I would rather have an honest hard working man who gave me gifts from the heart then from tiffany's any day then some hot shot cold hearted rich arsehole who thought he could buy his way into my heart !teddybear

Money should not be the most important issue in a relationship but it is important to have a balanced economical situation.

I would prefer an educated man no matter what his income is.

I would then be the one with money if I got that guy who is poor.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

It's about being with someone you love.
You may be with someone poor because he is dying, needs you, while loving a rich guy and therefore be unhappy about it.

You may need a plastic surgery or help pay your father's treatment.

It depends on one's happiness.

I've dated a few well educated men,who while book smart, were absolute idiots in every other way.

I can understand someone wanting to date another who has as much as they do,but what if you happened to fall for the one who was right for you in every way?Of course as another poster stated no one wants to be taken financially, but if this was not what he was trying to do,and who was a proud man who took nothing from you and contributed more in other ways, would money still make that much of a difference?

I dont think money can buy love but it is a fact a lot of couples fight over not having it.
lack of money in marriage can make both people pretty miserable if they dont have enough money to pay bills, food, ect..
it also depends on the couple..if they have such high love for each other they might be able to overcome the money issues?

Not all money from this world can compare a true and sincere love to know that at home waits u a sincere soul and warm whom shoulder u can tell u problemes and enjoy life near him even is hardworker and poor ,in fact we have just one life and this life deserves to be spent with love ,money can buy all but not love,to offer love u must be sensitive ,romantic sincere, and most of all to be able to love someone unconditionally just for what he /she is,money can be made but true love is hard to find her ,specially nowadays is a rare flower and who finds it, is the happiest person from this world.wine

There are not right ones.
There are right relationships.

I have had proposals for a relationship from educated and rich men BUT their life style is not for me.

Money will never make any difference in my life.
(btw I am middle class)

I've been a poor hard worker all my teen and adult years, it's never stopped me from finding love or obtaining my goals. The only real happiness that money buys is some security knowing you have paid your bills.

Frankly, I would much rather have gifts that have meaning than something that had a "brand name" on it.handshake

Money can't buy love, no. But no money can kill love. All the stress and worry may be too much for love to survive. Sad, but true.

Yup.

I don't like all that expensive gift stuff.

I like the simple life and I'm not a lover of the usual sort of stuff that people fill their lives with.

I bought myself what I think is a WWII-ish army camp bed for £5 in the charity shop last week. Probably totally bloody useless, but a work of art.

It might be useful for a stage prop one day.

I'm strange like that.
