Major media bias (words edited out of Pledge of Allegiance), shame on CNN

The following is an article I just read.....

FROM CNN's Jack Cafferty:

A 22-year-old from Northern Ireland won the U.S. Open Sunday at Congressional Country Club outside Washington. It was a stunning performance. It's too bad the same can't be said about NBC, the network televising our national championship.

At the beginning of the telecast, NBC aired a patriotic montage featuring video clips of national monuments and soldiers raising an American flag, cut around a group of school-aged children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Only during the pledge, the phrases "under God" and "indivisible" were edited out, twice. The piece was supposed to play up the whole patriotism theme with the golf course hosting our national championship so close to our nation's capital and all. But a lot of people couldn't get past the missing lines. Who does this?

Angry viewers immediately took to Twitter bashing NBC and suggesting a boycott of the network. Others called into their NBC affiliates to complain. And before the broadcast ended, announcer Dan Hicks issued an on-air apology of sorts, saying the omission was not meant to upset anyone and that the network was sorry to those who were offended. It wasn't nearly enough.

The full article can be read at CNN......

IMHO the way "under God and indivisible" were edited out of my countries Pledge of Allegiance was a blatant example of how some media outlets in the US pander to the folks that don`t like the word God.We would`nt want to hurt anyone`s feelings would we.I think this PC crap has gone too far.
Any comments?

RE: Obama administration works for modernising of american Railways! Why the Heck is moron GOP against?

The following is the 2nd part of the article.....here goes.....

This report further notes that the “cover-up” of this nuclear disaster by President Obama is being based on his “fantasy” of creating so-called green jobs which he (strangely) includes nuclear power into as his efforts to bankrupt the US coal industry proceed at a record breaking pace.
Unknown to the American people about Obama’s “war” on the US coal industry is it’s estimated to cost them over a 60% increase in their electricity bills by 2014 and cause over 250,000 jobs to be lost in an already beleaguered economy.
More ominous for those American people whose lives depend on the coal industry that is being deliberately destroyed is the Obama regime’s massive “security exercise” currently ongoing in the major coal mining States of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, and as we can read about, in part, as reported by InfoWars.Com:
“If you’re still living under the delusion that the TSA is just restricted to airports then think again. A joint VIPR “security exercise” involving military personnel has Transportation Security Administration workers covering 5,000 miles and three states, illustrating once again how the TSA is turning into a literal occupying army for domestic repression in America.
The TSA, in alliance with a whole host of federal, state, local agencies as well as military personnel, is currently conducting a massive “security exercise” throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
“The participating teams are composed of a variety of TSA assets including federal air marshals, canine teams, inspectors and bomb appraisal officers. They will be joined by state and local law enforcement officials to supplement existing resources, provide detection and response capabilities. The exercise will utilize multiple airborne assets, including Blackhawk helicopters and fixed wing aircraft as well as waterborne and surface teams,” reports the Marietta Times.
Although the exercise is couched in serious rhetoric about preparedness, it relates to “no specific threat” and the details are nebulous to say the least and seems to revolve around little else than testing out high-tech surveillance equipment and reminding Americans who their bosses are.”
Obama’s fears of the American people turning against nuclear power, should its true dangers be known, appear to be valid as both Germany and Italy (whose people, unlike the Americans, have been told the truth) have turned against it after the disaster in Japan and vowed to close all of their atomic plants.
Perhaps even more sadly for the American people is this report stating that the Obama regime is “walking in lockstep” with Japan in their attempts to keep the truth of nuclear accidents from their citizens; which in the case of the Japanese can only be labeled as horrific as new evidence points to them knowing within hours of the Great Tsunami that their atomic reactors had melted down, but have only today ordered an evacuation of pregnant women from what are called “radiation hotspots.”
With a country that some scientists are now warning may soon become uninhabitable due to radiation damage, and with reports of mutant rabbits and radioactive whales now being reported, one wonders if in knowing the truth the American people would really want to follow Japan’s “example” instead of those people in Germany and Italy?
But, with an already documented 35% increase in the infant mortality rate for American mothers living in the western coastal regions of the US caused by radiation blowing onto them from Japan being ignored by these people there doesn’t seem to be much hope for them. (The EU Times

US orders news blackout over crippled Nebraska Nuclear Plant: report
Submitted 2 days 13 hrs ago
Print Facebook Digg StumbleUpon Text Size

A shocking report prepared by Russia’s Federal Atomic Energy Agency (FAAE) on information provided to them by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) states that the Obama regime has ordered a “total and complete” news blackout relating to any information regarding the near catastrophic meltdown of the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant located in Nebraska.
According to this report, the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant suffered a “catastrophic loss of cooling” to one of its idle spent fuel rod pools on 7 June after this plant was deluged with water caused by the historic flooding of the Missouri River which resulted in a fire causing the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) to issue a “no-fly ban” over the area.
Located about 20 minutes outside downtown Omaha, the largest city in Nebraska, the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant is owned by Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) who on their website denies their plant is at a “Level 4” emergency by stating: “This terminology is not accurate, and is not how emergencies at nuclear power plants are classified.”
Russian atomic scientists in this FAAE report, however, say that this OPPD statement is an “outright falsehood” as all nuclear plants in the world operate under the guidelines of the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES) which clearly states the “events” occurring at the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant do, indeed, put it in the “Level 4” emergency category of an “accident with local consequences” thus making this one of the worst nuclear accidents in US history.
Though this report confirms independent readings in the United States of “negligible release of nuclear gasses” related to this accident it warns that by the Obama regimes censoring of this event for “political purposes” it risks a “serious blowback” from the American public should they gain knowledge of this being hidden from them.
Interesting to note about this event was the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Chief, Gregory B. Jaczko, blasting the Obama regime just days before the near meltdown of the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant by declaring that “the policy of not enforcing most fire code violations at dozens of nuclear plants is “unacceptable” and has tied the hands of NRC inspectors

RE: Is having lots of money a good ambition?

What`s wrong with money? After all,the reality is that you need it to get the necessities and the "extra`s that you desire. If you don`t desire anything in life and want to live in a cave that is your choice. It has been my experiance in life that people usually work for about three reasons in life.....

Survival and M&M.....The M&M part would be "money and medals"...
Money and medals is broken down this way.....The raw money and recognition{medals}.....Every person on this planet probably seeks some sort of recognition in their lives. Some people are satisified with accumalating large sums of money and the power that normally goes with it.Others seek recognition through other means.....{degrees,pats on the back,a card at certain times of the year and the list goes on}.....

RE: How jealous are you?

My wife of over 42 years {she passed in 2005}was a pretty smart gal.We were having a rough patch at about the 25 year point when one day she recieved a dozen red roses.I of course asked who sent them and she was coy and said {a seceret admirer I guess}
Well....I started paying a lot more attention to her needs. She let me suffer thinking she had "a seceret admirer" for the longest time.Turns out she sent them to herself. What a gal.heart wings heart beating rose

RE: How jealous are you?

Pretty cool subject if you ask me....The following are the common types of jealously..........

Sibling rivalry – Sibling rivalry is a common form of family jealousy. Family jealousy can affect all ages and different members of any family. This jealousy can arise from lack of attention from a specific member in the family. More attention towards another member of the family can cause this emotion or the emotion can be seen through comparison to another member in the family. This type of jealousy is once again in result of losing some sort of attention or services that someone once had or that they believe that they had.
Workplace jealousy – Jealousy in the work place is not uncommon. People can experience jealousy of one another in practically any setting that one person feels like they are losing services from something or someone else. This type of jealousy is often seen between colleagues in similar job positions. If one worker receives positive feedback from the boss while the other employee feels like they deserved that, positive feedback jealousy can arise. Jealousy between colleagues can also arise if the employees are working for a raise or trying to outdo each other for similar job positions. Once again, the attention received towards one employee and not the other may cause intense emotions of jealousy to develop.
Romantic jealousy – Romantic jealousy can be experienced in long-term or short-term relationships. One partner can feel the emotion of jealousy arise if the other partner is paying more attention or time with someone else. To lose services from one partner and have their attention directed towards someone else does not have to be in a romantic way. One partner could be spending more time with a friend that no romantic feelings could ever develop.
Platonic jealousy – Platonic jealousy is a form of jealousy that is seen in friendships. Platonic jealousy is similar to romantic jealousy in the way that this type of relationship can lead to jealousy in result of fear of being replaced, having competition or being compared to a third party. For example, the intense emotion of jealousy can arise if two friends that are females decide that they like the same man and both want to possibly start a romantic relationship with him. Comparison and competition will more often than not lead to the two females experiencing the emotion of jealousy.

I actually see some form of these played out in the forums every day.doh wink rolling on the floor laughing laugh

RE: No electricity or water!!!

Quite common out here in the Arizona desert at the peak of summer when every one is running air conditioning...{puts a great demand on the system all at once} and in the later part of the year we have a lot of lightning and that knocks out the power as well.....I`m actually quite accustomed to it.Learn to keep candels or a flash light on hand and a few jugs of water stored away and you can cope quite well.cheers

RE: If you live in the USA read the proper fix for the USA economy

"Bring on the economic collapse, let nature and necessity separate the wheat from the chaff if politics doesn't have the balls for the job."

thumbs up I could not have summed it up better. After the collapse it will take two or three decades to cleanse the economy, but this is the only thing that will work in the long term.It took us decades to get us in the mess that we are in and it will take decades to fix it.Hopefully the next time around the people who endorsed all this debt heaped upon society will have either died or wised up.idea lightbulb

RE: Chocolate - in the fridge or not?

I have had the good fortune of visiting two of the best chocolate manufacturing facilities in the world {both in Australia}......First I flew into Hobart,Tasmania and drove a short distance to Claremont where Cadbury makes chocolate....yum,yum,yum.....Then I flew to Adelaide where probably the best chocolate in the world is made at the Haigh`s factory. This probably was the best chocolate I ever ate.

RE: Obama administration works for modernising of american Railways! Why the Heck is moron GOP against?

I could see how a ultra left winger like yourself would be distressed with this scenario in your country....seems kinda funny since 80% of the work force in Denmark is covered by some sort of collective bargining {union}.....You would think it would be the other way around. You could come to the US and hire on as a union organizer since our country has had a declining
union presence for the last 2 or 3 decades. Then you would not be so stressed out.....Just a thought...lightbulb idea

RE: Is law equal for all?

I`m curious if Sharia Law is included in this discussion, because if it is I think you will find a wide array of enforcement under this religous law.

"It was as my grandfather said a way to escape personal responsibility."

Bingo......Your grand pappy was a wise man....More give aways lead to more and more desire on the part of the reciever to get more and more.It becomes a vicious cycle and it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.Lets buy a house that we can`t afford with self exploding loans and when we get into foreclosure go to the government for a bail out.Or better yet...lets loan people these self exploding loans in a real estate market that is going backwards and when we can no longer pawn the paper off to un-suspecting fools...and then we go to Washington with our hat in our hand led by one of the guys who was the head of one of these companies and at the same his company was shorting the market because they knew it was ready to explode.......I`m getting weary thinking about this...but I think you probably get my drift.

PS...I forgot to mention most people were using their homes as ATM machines......frustrated frustrated boxing

RE: who should wear the jeans in a relationship?

IMHO it boils down to the culture....Yes of course the Americans believe that it is 50/50 {but this may be different from religon to religon in the US even to this day}.....So it really depends on customs and religon.Far be it from me to dictate what should be done in another culture.....When in Rome.......dunno smile tip hat

RE: Obama administration works for modernising of american Railways! Why the Heck is moron GOP against?

So....I guess I can count that as a "dodge"...?
