just finished with ice pack. never changes, but it does feel good for just a little while. the cold does get through the splint thing that is on it. the thing that scares me right now is the staying cold thing it is doing. it freezes. brrr. thank you sweetie. kat
thank you all. everyone of you, thank you.jesse, you are awesome. of course i already told you that. thank you hon. the darn hand still hurts, but the heart sure feels better. kat
it hurts so bad. i remember when i got a boo boo my mom would kiss it and make it better. and i did the same for my kids. as you guys know i broke my hand last friday. i am supposed to get it xrayed again, but can't yet. when i get the money i will. they can't cast it until there is a more clear picture. the hematoma was too large friday to see clearly. it is so swollen and black from the tips of my fingers and all my knuckles, and even the palm of my hand. i went to work yesterday and today, and it just made it hurt that much more. so, if someone has healing kisses out there. would you kiss it pweeeeeeze? kat
find something that you have with her in it, or that she gave you in the room. when my last son moved out (he is my baby), it made me sad to look in his room. so, i started putting some of his things in there. i didnt look in there too often for a little while. i had some of his shoes that he outgrew and pics. made me feel a little more comfortable. that way, i would look in and see him and go on bout my business. he was only 10 to 15 minutes away, but hey...i still missed him. he is now 2 1/2 hours away. it gets better. kat
hi. plenty of ladies here. stick around a post. that's the way the ladies get to know you. responses to threads, let's the you shine through. have fun, and stick around and join in the fun. kat
i have had friends, animals i loved deeply, that i had to make the heart wrenching decision to euthanize. after exhausting my funds, there was no other choice for us. i cried my eyes out for a very long time. i still get teary eyed. i will always think of them, and miss them. i know how much it hurts. the only horse i ever had to put to sleep was "dandy" half appaloosa and half thouroughbred. he was brought down by my german shephard "cinder". well, knowing what we know...she had to be put down after him the same day. my heart was broken for a long long time after that. i still look at all the pictures of all my friends that i miss. make that scrap book. look at it as much as possible and come to terms that you did all that you could do under your circumstances. i'm sure they knew you loved them. just keep loving, and caring the way you do. kat
you must learn from your mistakes and previous thoughts of self destruction. then you above all; must learn to love yourself first. leave the past behind, and live for the now. keep workin off that depression and self hatred as you are. begin to see the man that works so hard to be the new you. cherish him and others will see the man you want to be. to get love from others, love yourself first. good luck to you. kat
my son is telling me about that as well. he says it is great. but the cost is more than i can afford. around 200.00. but on the good side...it will make the price cheaper on other programs. kat
While coffee may be Americans' most popular morning beverage, billions around the world insist on a hot cup of black or green tea to start out the day. Recent studies have also sung tea's praises, suggesting that drinking tea can lower the risk of heart disease and stroke. However, according to a surprising new study, adding milk to tea appears to cancel out the health benefits of the brew. University of Berlin researchers concluded that adults who enjoy their tea with milk do not benefit from a lower risk of heart disease or stroke, unlike their peers who take their tea straight. Researchers believe that proteins found in milk, called caseins, can decrease the effectiveness of tea compounds known as catechins, which have been shown to help improve blood flow.
no soy for me thank you. wonder if that fattening creamer is okay? kat
Yes....my wish would be to live on in my kids and their kids, and so on. through memory and actions. to be remembered for (hopefully) my charitable nature and the love i hold dear to me for all creatures. for my strengths and my weaknesses. and hopefully my values and love of God. that is how i would wish to live on forever. kat
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are.
After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire.
The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with ... and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting .. Until your car or home is paid off. Until you get a new car or home. Until your kids leave the house. Until you go back to school. Until you finish school. Until you lose 10 lbs. Until you gain 10 lbs. Until you get married. Until you get a divorce. Until you have kids. Until you retire. Until summer.. Until spring. Until winter. Until fall. Until you die.
There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need the money, love like you've never been hurt and dance like no one's watching.
don't have to check the mirror. just pulled two out of my chin yesterday. kinda like crabgrass, pull it, and it comes right back deeper and strongrer. OUCHHH!! brings tears to my eyes.
i have an uncle that just had mouth and tongue surgery, because he is a smoker. he had to have part of his tongue and jaw removed. well, they took skin off his chest to build inside his mouth, in and around his tongue. wellll...he was growing hair inside his mouth! long hair. it's ok though now. the chemo and radiation took care of that eventually. can you imagine? he said it was like having a hair or dog or cat hairs in his mouth and constantly trying to get it out of his mouth. kat
