Go to Device Manager (Start> RightClick My Computer> Properties> Hardware Tab> Device Manager) and right click on your sound driver and choose enable.

HP are going out of the lappy game and going back to software...But you are right simply increase the RAM (you can do it on notebooks too)

Millieh...don't confuse yourself..Really notebooks-lappy's not much difference outside of flashy lights (just stay within your price range)

Try it once....Just go to your local 7/11 and buy a few cold tubes and sink them..Works wonders (probably the best cure for hangovers ever known)

It runs of a live CD and doesn't need to be installed

Simple stay within your price range...They'll do the same thing. Basically a laptop has more flashy lights than a notebook.

You could buy a cheap mac and install a virtual machien and install any OS from Bad Billy Boy Gates you want...then simply transfer your data to the virtual machien...(prob. the easiet)
