I don't think they are fussy...more once bitten twice shy. Most of the nubiles here have been around the block (no offence ladies)...and they are just more careful incase it all goes pear shaped...(jmo)
Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System failure, uncheck the box "Automatically restart.
If you want a bootable win7 Cd simply get in touch with their customer support and demand a bootable CD. The fact that they 'Lenovo' don't supply one doesn't mean they can't send you one (under EULA (end users license agreement) they must if you ask).
It is possible to boot up and restore with various linux systems..DON'T INSTALL simply boot from a live CD.
You're prob. better getting in touch with 'Lenovo' and asking for a CD (you'll have to supply the model n° & serial n° of the desk top)
