You have to understand that not many jobs are rewarding. Only a few people get the great jobs and they never leave the position, or put their buddies in the job on their advancement. Employers want your skills and labor, but tick tock your becoming a liability that they really don't want with an older workers. Companies don't want to pay for your medical issues and longevity benefits. So companies pile it on to make you hate the place. Your opportunities go to zero and they try to force a quit on you.."Psychological Employment Warfare". Sometimes companies win, because people become so unhappy...don't ever quit!!!let them fire you if your in your 50's. There are government safeguards for older employees. Training is great but that takes money. The younger people have degrees and their skills got a burgers flipping job to help make small student loan payments....so retraining isn't such a good deal. It you have a nitch, want to become a small business owner start your business and moonlight until it pays, then you have a choice. No job, 100k student loan for an "imaginary better job" is a poor choice for older people.
