RE: Who would you ASK????

I was directly responding to another person's indiscreetness concerning an in-person meeting that I had, from this site. That is exactly my point. Details of personal interactions do not belong on an open forum.

RE: Who would you ASK????

Since you brought it to an open forum, Yes...I do know who I am. I havn't called you because you are right, I am not ready for a relationship. Secondly, I didn't feel we were a good match. We are adults here, no? I don't spin my wheels or invest in relationships that are not likely to turn into anything. After we last spoke in person...my phone and emails have been silent as well. But no, please don't call...I will not call you. If you do have sour grapes though, I would not be so crass as to air them on an open forum after virtually identifying the person I had them with.

RE: Lost Chapter in Genesis

To many tours booked way into the future. Started getting off on the "rock star" gratification...he felt it diluted his focus on Music. The main reson was that he started a family. In fact, the first Genesis concert ever, sans Gabriel, was in London Ontario. They are my favourite band. My knowledge of them is encyclopedic. John Lennon was a big fan of Genesis' music, especially the "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" album. Lennon saw both the "Selling England by the Pound", as well as, the "Lamb" shows when they stopped in NYC.

RE: Jesus of Nazareth

Again, one has to believe this...it requires faith that it is in fact, true.

Definatively? Who knows? Absolutely impossible to prove. Just because it says so in the bible, doesn't make it 100% true. One has to believe it is true. It is a truth for me though. Does anyone have absolute proof that your mother is really your mother? You believe it because she tells you she is. That is called faith. Debating actual scripture suppositions and interpretations is an absolute and utter waste of time...thats how wars begin. I thoroughly enjoy debating the religious/historical though. I have what works for me...may not work for you! I believe that You believe, or, don't believe. Religious beliefs are neither right or wrong, they just are...they stand alone.peace

RE: Jesus of Nazareth

Their was little difference. The only one I can think of is that it is said that Jesus was without sin. In the absolute mortal sense, that is not likely. Before I went back to church and began to follow Christ, my understanding and belief was that Christ, Ghandi, and Martin Luther King...were people sent by God to each deliver a special message to us all. Modern day prophets. I have chosen the Christ to take me beyond that. I still believe the same though of the other two. They were all executed because of their beliefs as well. Who knows? In 2000 years we might be following a new religion... Ghandism? Lutherism? In regards to Ghandi, Mahatma is again a title, not a name. That's how Christianity got it's start, isn't it? They are all people worthy of a following.

RE: when do you think your woman looks her best

When Im looking up through her soft curls, past her navel and breasts, into her eyes...while grazing contentedly.

RE: Poem's you have written for someone special.

Epilogue:

The Girl opens her eyes, exhausted, and slowly climbs out of the pool.
Turning, she lets out a sharp cry.
The Doe with the bleeding foreleg was gone!
In the place where the wounded Doe just was…a small fire blazes cozily.

With soft boughs and leaves of aloe vera, the Girl dries herself slowly…deliberately.
Her skin smooth and supple, the Girl smells her own womanly scent and sighs softly.
As if in a dream…the Girl dresses and rests by the fire.

After a time, the Girl rises and walks from the glade and into the forest’s gloom.
The Girl walks radiantly assured…her pace quickening.
A flash of white tail in the distance…then gone.
An unseen Hawk screeches in the distance… gazing skyward, the Girl smiles.

The End

Thank you for your patience.

RE: Poem's you have written for someone special.

6th Interlude cont.

The Girl begins to sob loudly…sobs turn quickly to wails.
Steam rises from the now hot, almost scalding water.
Thrashing loose from the Lady’s grasp, the Girl pounds her fists into the pool…
“…NO,NO,NO,NO, DON’T TOUCH ME! – Please STOP…STOOOOP!”, the Girl shrieks.

Weeping for the Girl’s pain, the Lady does nothing to comfort the girl, “This is her journey”.
The Lady climbs unnoticed from the pool and leaves the Girl to her sorrows.
Silently…slowly, the Lady dresses and gathers sticks for the Girls warming fire.
Briefly warming herself, the Lady walks from the glade and into the gloom of the forest.

Overhead, She-hawk screeches her approval…the circle is complete.
The Lady’s healing is at it’s finish.
“I am ready again”, smiles the Lady.
The Lady turns West and begins to walk.

The Pool

First Interlude: The Chase

Emerging from the East, the lady enters the forest with the rising sun.
Hair billowing, face alight...red and seeking.
A cold wind blows.

To herself, lips unmoving, she asks...”Where is the place I belong?”
Above, a hawk screeches through the morning’s dissipating mist.
At the forest’s edge, a doe sniffs the air... startled.
The doe senses the woman’s presence.

The doe...”Mother Doe”, hears the woman’s longing quest...her desolation.
“Where is the place that I belong?” asks the woman again, bewildered.
Again the hawk screeches.
The Lady’s heart jumps...she stops.

The Doe, quick flash of white tail in the distance, then gone.
The Lady’s eyes try to follow but cannot.
Doe leaps into the forest’s depths.

At the circling hawk, high above, the Lady gasps at it’s soaring beauty.
The Hawk, gazing below...gasps at her soaring beauty.
Their eyes meet in understanding, the Lady knows to follow.
Into the forest she drifts.

The scent of pine and damp moss encircle her.
Nostrils flaring...she feels alive.
Alive...as if in a dream.
Could it be true?...Could it?

The Lady follows, not knowing who, or why.
Her way, lit dimly by the breaking dawn.
The stirring in her heart her only guide, she walks on.

White gown, green woolen cape.
The earth, cold on her sandaled feet.
Breasts gently rise and fall as she catches her breath.

The Forest Beckons...

Second Interlude: In The Glade

The Doe flags her tail, as if a beacon.
The Woman plunges into the gloom, after her.
Thorns and branches tear at her skin, the Woman cries out in pain.
...Blood flows.

Doe is elusive, our Lady angers.
In her mind she screams... “WHERE are you leading me? TELL me my quest!”
Hearing no reply, she grunts and stumbles onward.

Ahead...sunlight bathes a small glade in the dark forest.
Pushing through the thick brambles, the Lady heads for it.
Bursting into the clearing, she shouts in shock and amazement at what she sees before her.
The Doe... who is resting gently by a spring-fed pool, raises her head in welcome.

Stopping , the Lady cries aloud, “Why didn’t you stop when I called out to you?”
“Speak not with your voice”, answers the Doe...and adds thoughtfully:
“Your heart speaks loudly enough Woman, though you yourself do not even know this yet”.

The Lady stands bewildered...sweat mixes with earth.
Her face...dirty and smudged with the forest.
...Exhaustion.

“Who are you?”, pleads the Lady. “How is it that you speak to me in this way?”
Rising to her feet, Doe; “I’am the Mother of this forest and you wandered into it’s reaches”.

Again ...”Where is the place that I belong Mother?”, asks the Lady>
Softly, falling snow melts silently in the pool between them.
“First...you must bathe”, replies Doe.
The wind has risen and howls mournfully though the forest canopy above.

Grey clouds, menacingly low, slowly fill the sky.
Breath to steam...”It is cold”, the lady thinks, gazing into the pool.
The Lady tells Doe; “Snow flies...I will surely freeze in that pool”.
“Are you not already frozen”, replies Doe afirmingly.
“Iam afraid” the Woman softly pleads.

Silently...sadly, the Woman knows what she must do.
Cape and robe fall at her feet.
Standing naked at the pool’s edge, the Lady shivers, her resistance crumbles.
“Is it...is it truly over”? She asks...eyes beseeching.

RE: Poem's you have written for someone special.

Im posting a poem/short story I wrote a few years ago. Never published but have publically read at cafe's and such locally. It's in 6 interludes + an epilogue. Sorry for the size, thats why it's in the next 4 posts.

RE: Other Uses

My uncle who used to work at a nuclear power plant in Ontario had a sign on his office door, "If it doesn't fit...get a hammer. If it still doesn't fit...get a bigger hammer.

RE: Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus is his name. Christ is his title.

"Christos" - Old Greek, meaning..."annointed one". Direct translation into Old Hebrew = "Mashiah"...same definition.

Should Roman Catholic Priests be allowed to marry?

Im sure the rants will be all pretty much the same. It will eventually happen. Hopefully sooner, rather than later. The average age of the Catholic Clergy is about 58. Most new priests in Canada are imported from Eastern Europe. The Vatican will be faced with a clergical meltdown in several years. The celibacy issue is the prime cause of low, to, non existant recruitment. I also believe that womem should be able to be ordained Catholic priests as well. The Protestant denominations made it happen. The R.C's could learn from them.

Should Roman Catholic Priests be allowed to marry?

Lots of views about religion lately...this issue is a big one on my list. I'd like to hear what anyone may have to say on this subject, for or against, or, don't care.
