Jaysus SW that's a surprisingly mature outlook from someone of your age. When I was 19 I was interested in 2 things. Beer and Weed. Even women took 2nd place!

Considering we're subsidising massive salaries of rte presenters and exec's, coupled with the fact that they advertise (which is not cheap!)... Most definitely yes.
Unfortunately with all dating sites there's a lot of eejits / sleezebags / etc. Just block them to make sure they don't contact you again. There's loads of genuine guys here.
When you say a few, how many? I would have mailed scores of girls when I first started on CS and gotten very few reply's but I just kept trying and then taken note of the type of messages I got reply's to.
Each girl is different obviously. Straightforwardness works with some. Charm works with others. Teasing works with, well most women.
I've seen a few threads up from people who aren't having any luck on CS and feel that many women on this site are rude/ignorant/stand-offish. So I feel the need to post this thread.
First off - CS works!!!
Now while I've met my current girlfriend in the "real world". the relationship before that was with a girl I met on CS. We went out for almost a year. I had dated women before her that I'd met through CS. And after, most of the women I dated were from CS. Others were from nights out, etc. NONE, were from other sites. I had tried other sites such as POF, flirtbox, another friend, match, etc... CS is by far the best one out there. In saying that, it doesn't mean if you send someone a crappy one-liner, you will get an instant response.
BUT - if you send a crappy one liner - and you have a good profile - you more than likely will get a response. The best profiles I have seen on CS are the regular forum posters. Those that have been here a while and have essentially "upped their game" when it comes to online dating. Check out those profiles. Stating your age in the about me section.... no need. Interests are fine and all but everyone goes to the gym. Everyone likes films and going out. Also, there are much more men on dating sites than women so expect that you will not get a 100% reply rate.
My own profile is a total piss-take and in fairness, it worked.
Man, I would have to completely disagree with that statement.
Asian women in particular, are far more materialistic than western women. My ex is Chinese and I am not just using her to generalise, all of her friends were exactly the same. Asian women firmly believe it is the man's responsibility to pay for the family. Not just Chinese women, Thai and Vietnamese are the same. One of my mates went out with a Korean bird for a few months and she did pay her own way but my guess is that she was the exception to the rule.
Russian women I don't have any personal experience with but most Eastern European women I have dated were more than happy to let me pay dinner/drinks/etc. Again, one was insistent on paying her own way but I'd also guess that's the exception.
My theory is it's to do with affluence. I believe that girls (and possibly blokes - I don't date blokes ) from poorer countries tend to become quite materialistic when they come to richer countries because they can now have all the things they never had. Maybe this is something that they get over in time, but my ex is 32 and while she has chilled out with the years and become more independent financially, she still places much more value on material things than any western women I know.
My first online dating experience went on for ages... spent ages mailing, instant messaging, texting, then calling. We were mad about each other in a way and then when we met the spark just wasn't there. A bit of a let down although we did become good friends and still are.
Online dating can be great to initially meet someone but best way for it to work is to move it off the net asap. Get a number relatively quick, phone soon, and meet.
I would find it strange that a man would not want his kids and do what's best for them. Any single fathers I know do the best they can for their kids. It's usually the mother who restricts visiting times, etc. And unfortunately, in Ireland, father's rights are pretty much non-existent
I suppose I'm lucky in that my ex wife values the relationship me and my son have so we share custody.
I don't see the need for your ex to have a key to your house. What's his reasoning behind it? Apart from simply a materialistic thing, i.e. he feels he should have a key cos he owns part of the house. Legally, I wouldn't have a clue. If though, ye have a very good relationship and all's amicable, then maybe there'd be no harm in giving him a key.
The relationship between myself and my ex wife is very amicable. We get on very well. Never argue about money or anything. But I would not be giving her a key to my house though, nor would she!
Best compliment I ever got. A girl turned to me out of the blue at a party a few weeks ago and said "Jesus Kev, you just ooze testosterone"!!. Needless to say I was pretty chuffed with that one
Worst ever. Well, at least with the most long lasting reprecussions... girl told me many years ago I looked like John Travolta. I was pretty chuffed at that one too (and showed it at the tme!) but one of my mates had whispered to her to say it to me... the slaggings lasted quite a while!! JohnnyT is still one of the nicknames my mates have for me.
Well good luck! The government don't seem to have a clue where or when they should cut spending.
I heard about a HSE dept in the North West that was set up due to de-centralisation that ended up doing nothing and because the guys working in the place are on the public payroll - they can't be moved, or fired, or anything, without a ministerial decision. So the taxpayer is paying for 50 people to sit in an office doing nothing while absolute essential services like an out of hours child protection scheme are left on the back bench... madness!!!
Would love to know the reasons behind the no vote. On earlier threads most of the reasons put forward were quite misinformed to an extent... i.e. people believing what they see on a big red poster stuck to a lampost rather than the actual facts.
Question. Why is every major political party, union, major orginisation, large business (small business too - we just don't have the money to put out full page ads!), advocating a yes vote??? I suppose these people must be stupid? Granted, Siptu are... that stupid stunt they pulled today. Ryanair? A tiny Irish airline a few years ago that has grown to be one of Europe's most successful... yes, those guys must really not know what they're talking about
Not to worry lads. Spain, brazil, italy... Sure they're greaseballs. Never can a man compete with a greaseball when it comes to working a room full of women but eventually the women see through them. The french... Well they're french. What more needs to be said
RE: My profile. Opinions, please...
I think it's pretty cool. Ok i am a bloke so my opinion probably isn't the one you want. But if i was a bird...
