RE: Single or Married

To some extent I agree but he should only do it if he knows he has the willpower to turn down the first female that asks him to dance.

Nothing wrong with having a few beers with the guys BUT that's where it has to stop....with the guys.

On the other hand, married women go out with single women because they are bored with their life and that is a disaster waiting to happen.

Married men go out with single or married guys just because they need their time away from routine.

RE: Polyamory

I read the book and saw the movie. She lusted for the photographer because her marriage was boring. She wanted excitement, something different.

When the photographer left and her husband came back from his trip she was once again his wife.

After she died, her daughter read the diary and knew how much the photographer made her mother happy. She knew that her mother loved both men in different ways.

If I enjoyed his company and wanted to see him again, I would look into his eyes to let him know that it's okay to kiss me tenderly.

RE: Does love really exist?

Men and women have a different definition of love.

Love is a feeling, which is an emotion.

I know when I love someone. I can't stop thinking about him, I worry about him, I go out of my way for him and best of all, he makes me happy

In answer to your question about settling in fear of being alone. I've been divorced over 40 years. If I'm alone the rest of my life, so be it.

The harder question is.....how do I know if he truly loves me. My only answer to that is......You are what you do, not what you say.

I think a lot of those strays are people in boring relationships or those thinking that the grass is greener on the other side.

RE: 68 years ago, today...

MD, if you know your history about this subject one bomb didn't do it when they bombed Hiroshima. The Japanese continued their war and we had to do it again in Nagasaki. It's the second bomb that ended the war.

WWII was very different from the mass bombings that have gone on in the last 12 years against terrorism. Unfortunately the United States will always be marred for those bombings in WWII.

RE: stigma of mental illness

Hi Bode wave

I'm not sure I agree that we shouldn't have fear. During the Persian Gulf War, General Schwarzkopf said he expected his men to be fearful. That if they weren't afraid, they wouldn't be on edge and ready to handle the unexpected. I think fear raises our adrenaline to keep us safe.
