I agree with you, Robert, but ,like you said ,electricity, water,gas, health care and so on are essential for each one of us and in my eyes those services shouldnt get privatized. In Germany for example, the public service providing electricity got sold to private companies and they are dictating the prices now in Germany due to the fact that they are oligopolies now. And i heared that after the privatization of the railway in the UK lot of accidents happened ( much much more than before), is that true?
We call here 'social market economy' the economic model used especially in West Germany and other west european countries.The social market economy seeks a market economic system rejecting both socialism and laissez-faire capitalism, combining private enterprise with measures of government regulation attempt to establish fair competition, low inflation, low levels of unemployment, a standard of working conditions, and social welfare. Nominally respecting the free market, the social market economy is opposed to both a strictly planned economy and laissez-faire capitalism.This system worked very fine during the 80's and i think that system should replace this predatory capitalism.
