Read it and good story about like the bison which got down to about 200 in the late 1800's and are back to 250,000 to 350,000 now. Can't say I ever herd ( ) (had to use it) of them before. Nice wool but again way above my price range.
Oh this is an easy one. Lago it surprises me that you don't know the answer to this one. As soon as tuna becomes as expensive as caviar they won't be over-fished anymore. Nobody would want them except the super rich. And so they would get even more expensive because nobody would fish for them anymore. So what would happen they would get the time to restock themselves. Probably 50 years or so. Remember the bison. They got down to a couple of hundred. They bounced back as soon as they were protected. The best way to protect something is to make it expensive.
I probably will be wrong on this point but who knows maybe there is some logic to it too.
It is always a disaster when we hear things like the plane going down and life is lost. It shocks all of us. But (always a but) what I think is more infuriating is loss of life that can be helped. For example we except the fact that many people die in car crashes every year many more than in air crashes. Do you try to drive as safe as you can? I do!!! People die of lung cancer did you try to help people to stop smoking? I do!!! People die of heart attacks (mainly through over eating) do you try to get people to change their diets? I do!!! It is our input into other peoples lives that might bring change. The aircraft accidents will always happen and lets hope to a minimum. But what we should work on is the things we can change.
I was just kidding really but oh well it takes a while before people get to know me by the way hi to you sasseez and by the way if you reread what I said I said "babes" not wimmen another difference again I think I am digging a little deeper with this one
In Belgium a kid stabbed another kid for not wanting to give him a cigarette. So what does that have to do with anything??? The guy probably would have killed himself anyway
Amazing that people didn't get it Sommer. I include myself in your list of bad parents. I did some awful things with my kid. When he was 14 I grounded him for 14 days in July. He was not allowed to go out of the house. Strangely he accepted the punishment. The group of kids he was hanging out with at the time considered it weak and ignored him after that. They all started smoking got into drugs had run-ins with the police and none graduated from school. On the other hand my son became a top notch programmer. Hmm 20 20 forsight not hind sight. I recognized the danger and reacted to it. Best decision of my sons life. But I was a terrible parent then. Even my wife did not agree. It always feels good to be right
It is oh so simple and some people want to make things difficult. When I came to Belgium I abide by one rule and only one rule. "When in Rome do as the Romans do". I am not saying that you have to eat French Fries every day or love Belgian waffels or eat their pralines. But respect the fact that it is their country and it is you that has to make the changes. I learned the language (well) and I will admit the rest was easy because I came from a western country that has the same or near enough same customs as the Belgians. You do in your own home what you want to do no problem. But when you leave your home it is your duty to try to be accepted by the country that took you in and not the other way around. I know of a situation of a lady that was in Belgium for 13 years and could not understand yes or no in the language of the town she was living in. My only suggestion no plea to her is go home and never come back.
I guess it's gotten to the point where it's up to me to keep this on the first page and I'm away from the nasty weed for 34 years. keep the thread going it should never end
Hallo Imma, Alles is kits achter de rits. Flemish saying. You probably won't understand it. Yeah for all those that have the courage to battle through it and get back on the bandwagon to those that fell off. Yoga is not for the faint hearted it seems. Never could be that limber in a month of Sundays what am is saying not in a year of Sundays. Bloody hell girl isn't normal yoga hard enough.
By the way Imma to faint is not sleeping. It is closer to a coma.
Now I know that people get tired of certain things. They wear out and they let it slip back to the back burner. This thread should not be one of them people. Do you know when the most difficult time was for me when I quit smoking?? It was after six months when I thought it was all over with. So make sure you don't let the nip you in the butt.
Hi Symbol, I know this is tough for you even though I have never had to go through it before except when I was 19 and that is too many years ago to even remember details. But this is exactly what I mean. I think that if you keep on thinking about it in the way you have said you will only keep it in memory. Think of it exactly the other way and that is. It was fun while it lasted it didn't work out and luckily nothing came of it. No cash was wasted no real emotions were spent. You were fooled by a con artist so what. A lot more will be fooled by him and probably more will suffer with his lines of morality (a guess because of the religious site). The thing is you are the lucky one the other is up the creek without a paddle. Warn her send a red flag to her get to her before the train wreck occurs. Symbol believe me I know there are many worse things you can go through and if this is the worst a would trade with you any day and whistle a happy tune doing it. It is a bit overwhelming now but try to think of how you will think about it in a years time. This will all seem so much more trivial that way. Wooffy
Why come here well that is a good question. Curiosity, habit (after a while) (semi) intelligent conversation, learning new things (Lago is the main input there) a quick laugh
RE: How does your life change when you quit smoking?
All that extra O2 must be making you delirious. Is that why I have been this way all these years?
