Yeah, the online dating thing is very hard. Personality probably doesn't translate very well into text when you're going through profiles. You've probably skipped over a few that might have been some great matchups.
While you may have done everything else right, I don't think that you did yourself any favours by creating this thread. Any future prospects (even those that might support you) may think twice about exposing themselves and their shortcomings either real or perceived in a face to face meeting for fear that it will end up as discussion on a public forum even if no ID is given. Many of the people who join these types of website don't need that type of attack on their self esteem.
Thanks Newlife. It was hidden right in front of me. Too many years on the internet has trained me to block out anything that I think may be an advertisement.
Religion can be a huge factor even within the same culture.
I'd hate to think that I was holding someone back from being completely true to their faith and certainly wouldn't change my beliefs for the sake of a relationship.
I would prefer to date someone that has been or is unemployed for an extended period. When better times return, the hardship experienced will hopefully fosters compassion and empathy for others that find themselves in tough situation.
RE: Atheist or Non-Atheist ?
