Lady Stetson is a very distinctive perfume and it's not very expensive. It can easily be purchased at Wal-Mart. I've worn it since my high school days and it never fails to illicit sighs and requests for the name of it and where I got it.
I see that you're from Iowa. My dad was born and raised there in Waukon, the far, northeastern corner of the state along the Mississippi River near Lansing and Decorah.
I now have this vision of Kermit the Frog singing "Rainbow Connection".
Frogs are very nice. I have a couple of them living in my shed and one under my house. They help keep the bugs under control. Frogs are lucky, they eat what bugs them.
I get manicures and pedicures to pamper myself. I also enjoy a long, hot bubble bath with scented candles lighting up the bathroom.
I have three favorite perfumes- Yves St. Laurent's "NU", Lady Stetson (I've had men follow me through department stores and the mall tracking me down to work up the nerve to ask me what scent I'm wearing as they like it so much! ), and English Rose (Very classic! )
I had a red tricycle too! My older brother had a blue one and on cold, wet days, we'd race against each other up and down the long hallway and through the den to the living room. Drove mom crazy but we has an absolute blast! Good trip down memory lane!
I have chickens too! A Plymouth Rock, a Rhode Island Red, A Mexican Fighting Hen (can't think of the proper name at the moment, very sleepy, sorry!) A Buff Orpington and a Barred Rock. My rooster is part Mexican Fighting and part Bantam.
I also enjoy reading, reading and writing poetry, exploring old castles and cemetaries, rugby (played for fun as a kid), going to the track to watch some top fuel high adrenaline drag racing ,horseback riding, swimming, shooting pool (snooker to our UK friends), and relaxing with friends and family to name but a few of my hobbies.
I LOVE that cob that you're riding in your pic. Fell in love with them when I was over in the UK. Do tell about your matching feline friend as I'm owned by cats too.
I have been owned by cats for most of my life and cannot imaginemy life without them. I have 16 cats and treasure each one as a beloved member of the family. I mourn them deeply and sadly when they cross the Rainbow Bridge. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this alone. I used to work as a veterinary technician and have comforted many owners when their beloved[ pets have passed away. One never gets used to it and if we did, we'd have to find another line of work. If I were there, please know that I would help you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I LOVE my job. I'm a rancher, you see. I get to watch tiny long-awaited for foals and calves being born or help bring them into the world. I get to get up early in quiet contemplation, sipping a cup of hot chocolate, watching the sun rise. I get to be outside catching a tan and getting exercise at the same time. I get to pray for rain or curse the heat. I also get the pride and joy in watching the young animals grow and develop into magnificent animals, then quietly shed a tear as they go to new homes or to the market (the cattle). I get to encourage youngsters to raise the best animals for the fairs so that they can earn money for their college education(s). There's pain and tears, laughter and joy. Conversations with God and nature. No day from one to the next is the same. Yes, I most certainly do love my work.
What cute little guy! We had swarms of them when I lived in Minnesota. I used to feed a couple of grey ones during the Fall and Winter and learned that they adore peanuts and sunflower seeds. I never thought to give them pumpkin seeds, but also learned that they like the original oats and honey Nature Valley granola bars. "Peter" works very well, as a name, or how about "Pumpkin Pete"?
Do I wonder? No.Too busy to have time to wonder about that and I'm secure enough in myself to not have to worry about it. I figure if someone on here likes me for me, great! If not, no worries. It will happen as it's meant to happen.
RE: Hey Ladies...
I'll take one if you're offering. My back and shoulders are killin' me.
