RE: Americans are viewed around the world as

So what's the REAL truth, Gary? Nothing you have thus said up to now adds up. There's too many discrepancies and those who have served in the military here know better.

My parents believe that you're what they call a "glory hog". You want to brag about your military service, then when pressed for the truth, you just couldn't be honest up front and say that you did not obey a direct order, but instead disgraced yourself horribly. You paid the price for doing so and have never been able to get over it, so you just take it out on anyone who happens to be in your way. Your anti-Semitic comments and country bashing don't endear you to anyone either. You see, a true military person who served doesn't brag about their service, they don't have to. Their manner and decorum speaks. Also, you take it out on any woman who dares challenge you. What sort of man are you? Right now from where I'm standing, a bitter, miserable, emotionally empty man who stirs the pot to make his life more interesting. Some life, sounds like prison to me. I realize that I should feel sorry for you, but I just can't conjure up that emotion.

RE: is there a bigger liar on American tv

*Chuckle* Thank you, mousie, but I wasn't a Drill Sergeant.I was an Officer- a Lieutenant. I'm now married, still young and enjoy a good adventure. grin

RE: is there a bigger liar on American tv

Thank you,ttom500. blushing Who is the lovely lady who made head of all the US Army Drill Sergeants?

My career was great and it was wonderful while I had it. It was great for a young, unmarried woman thirsty for adventure and new experiences. I absolutely loved it. I'd do it all again if I had the chance. grin

I knew there was something I liked and respected about you- you were a Drill Sergeant! grin Those women Drill Sergeants are indeed tops and expect you to be every bit as tough as they are. laugh

He may have my hat brim to his nose, then he can look forward to a lifetime of push ups, 5 mile "hikes" with fully loaded packs and pounding sand. Growing up with 4 brothers one learned not to take "stuff" from anyone. wink

RE: is there a bigger liar on American tv

I graduated high school at 15 while enrolled in the high school ROTC program all four years becoming the Battalion S-2 Intelligence Officer. After graduation it was off to college and again enrolled in the ROTC program on the fast track to the Officer's Training Program. Upon college graduation it was off to the US Army continuing the Officer's Training Program. I was a Lieutenant at 20. Then I was sent to serve my country in the first Gulf War. I served honorably and happily until I was injured. It took two years to recover from those injuries.I served my time. I'd gladly serve again in a moment's notice.

I don't need a man to fight for me- I'm perfectly happy fighting for myself or dying if the need should be.

As for your "service", the US Army wouldn't tolerate your attitude and atrocious behavior towards others. You would have been doing a lot of push ups or running for mouthing off to a Drill Instructor or officer. Further pushing could lead to serious punishment and/or a Dishonorable Discharge.

I'm sorry, but you wouldn't make a pimple on a good Marine's backside.

RE: is there a bigger liar on American tv

yawn sleep sleep blah blah blah blah blah blah

RE: is there a bigger liar on American tv

No, it's your opinion. I could care less if Obama is purple with pink polka dots, his foreign policies suck swamp water and you don't like it if people have a differing view than yours. You just want to stuff your ideals down our throats while we're supposed to roll over and take it. Sorry, not happening. And if you don't like it, go pound sand.

RE: acorn video is a fraud.

The post was removed because I reported it yesterday. My parents are still practicing neuropsychiatrists and after having sent them links to your threads, they liken you to a schoolyard bully who can't handle it when he's challenged. They bet you beat your woman (provided that you have one) if she stands up to you or dares to have her own opinions . As for your "service", well, you see, I was there during the first Gulf War and I'm proficient in seven languages.

I graduated high school at 15 having partaken in the ROTC program and was the Battalion S-2 Intelligence Officer. After graduating, it was off to college and again I enrolled in the ROTC program. Upon graduation I entered the US Army and was fast tracked in the Officer's Training Program. At the age of 20 I was already a Lieutenant, then it was off to serve my country for the first Gulf War. Sadly, I was injured and it took two years to recover from the injuries. I served my country honorably and gladly. I'd do it again in a moment's notice if I could. As for men fighting my battles- I'm perfectly happy fighting them on my own.

Regarding your "charming" personality, if you truly were in the Army, they wouldn't tolerate your dreadful attitude and behavior towards others. I'm sorry, but you wouldn't make a pimple on a good Marine's backside.

RE: do you believe in ghosts?

Yes,I believe in ghosts. There's at least four of them around my home and property. I've smelled some very distinct perfume around the house, I've also smelled cherry scented pipe smoke and no one smokes. One particular spirit does not like my husband and broke the kitchen light above his head as he was eating a sandwich. We've been locked out of the house several times after we had first moved into the house. Another particular spirit enjoys making the cats meow and paw at the walls, and it also likes to make the dogs bark for no reason.

RE: how many countries have you visted? and which one was the best?

Mexico, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Great Britain, and Iceland thus far. I plan to go to Africa to walk in my grandparents' footsteps when they lived and worked there and then on to Australia.

Ireland and Scotland are tops on my list. grin grin

RE: the prettiest sports car of all time

What? No 1969 Chevy Camaro with a 383 stroker? I'm crushed. wink laugh

Gotta love those 455's though. ROWR! grin Those engines make me melt. I had a neighbor who had a 1974 Chevy Corvette with a 450. I told him not to sell it. What did he do? Of course, he sold it for a lousy run of the mill pickup truck. doh

I've got a 1995 Chevy Camaro. When I get some free time over the winter, I plan to soup her up with a drag racing engine that easily switches to street legal, for something fun to do on the weekends at the local drag strip. grin

RE: YOU LIE! Another out of control SC Republican loses it.

Sad, indeed.Unfortunately,I think you missed it, the lady in question and I patched up our differences. Unfortunately, politics has become an ugly business. No one side is right, yet the fighting continues. Color, creed, beliefs, religion, it all gets smeared if someone or a group disagrees. It's very sad. And you're right- the Civil War is still going on, albeit perhaps more subdued. but it's still there.

My mother's family originates from St. Augustine, Florida and Brunswick, Georgia. They in turn trace back to Spanish nobility. On my father's side, I trace back to ancient Irish kings and old Septs. My best friends in this world are an African-American man, a Hispanic/Cauasian man and some dear Sicilians. It's funny, growing up I never saw or understood race, and couldn't understand why people were so unkind to one another. My mother's family are the Patrons'- the caretakers and helpers to unfortunate back home. We'd offer jobs, money, food, clothing to those who came to us in need. We still do today.(Unfortunately, mom has a bad habit of speaking out of turn). Growing up as a woman of high society is not easy- you are instantly judged, called names, ridiculed, etc... Folks think its easy and think to have money, one must be happy and have no troubles. If only you knew. Happiness is what one makes of it. Money cannot buy it. Troubles? There are many. Running two businesses and the headaches that go along with it, working to have everything running smoothly.Running a 3000 acre ranch like my parents did along with having their psychiatry offices, raising six children, managing the foreman and the wranglers, taking care of sick and injured livestock, medicating, feeding, watering, planting seeds and cultivating crops. Providing for all that is possible.

It took me two years to heal from injuries and to learn to speak again after the war.I couldn't even speak to my own family to explain what happened. Nightmares were constant, but I refused help because someone else needed it more than me. Once I was mobile and speaking again, I threw myself into my work, again refusing help, saving money, giving what I could, helping others. I took in a homeless man who helped me with my place and I adopted the kitten he wanted a home for. That cat is now 18 years old and curled up at my feet as this is written. Eventually, the homeless man became ill beyond my medical training and he passed away. He was buried in my family's plot and I make sure that he gets flowers placed on his grave each week. Time passed and I eventually married another war veteran. We moved to his home state of Minnesota and worked and lived for nearly nine years, saving money for our own ranch. In 2002 we moved back to my native Texas and bought our ranch. Putting into the pastures Skipper W bred Paints and Quarter Horses, Black Aberdeen angus, Jacob's Sheep, and various chickens and turkeys. I planted vegetable and flower gardens to not only to sustain our bodies and those of our wranglers, but to help heal the souls.

The ranch is working, but rest is rare and hard won. I'm bottle feeding some calves that were orphaned and halter breaking some weanling colts. The sound of baby chicks in the brooder is somehow soothing. Life goes on and it is ever changing.
