I wish I could tell you, mnowsa,but I just don't have an answer for you. I wish that I did, but my suggestion is to contact this psychologist directly and to talk to him. Maybe he can provide the answers for you that I cannot.

He was probably a writer in his spare time (what little they have of it) and could have had some other outside interests that took him out of the psychiatrist's office. Have you ever noticed that you never see a Harley Davidson or a horse parked outside a psychiatrist's office?

I don't know,mnowsa,perhaps the patients were all too consumed by being right. in their opinions. But I found the article rather interesting as both my parents are psychiatrists. (And they ran a household of six children and a ranch to boot! I am amazed that they did, but considering both had an agricultural upbringing and mom is a society girl. Little wonder in hindsight.Sorry, got off topic a bit, but wanted to give you a bit of background). What I observed from my parents' patients and often overheard while walking past their offices is that the patients seemed unable or unwilling to move past what was bothering them and wanted ways to "cope" usually by medication and/or screaming their lungs out.

Obama and his drooling minions seem to believe that winning the election gives him charter to DICTATE. It does not. It's supposed to give him the best possible position to LEAD America where she should be.

The problem is that Obama is NOT a leader. He has neither the experience nor the inclination. Giving the reins to the world's most powerful country to a mere community organizer is like handing the Sistine Chapel to a house painter.

Either Obama learns to lead or he goes down in history as ineffectual at best or a disaster at worst.

Some are born to lead and some are born to follow, but the ones that can't stand to follow and don't have the talent to lead, become DICTATORS. Obama is a dictator to his very core. I highly doubt his arrogance will permit him to change.

I'm too busy working a job that raises the food that American people put on their dinner and lunch tables. How deaf and arrogant the Democrats remain will determine the current revolt will become a revolution. In 1775, it was a revolt against the British arrogance. I grew up as a Socialite (I rarely speak of this, by the way)and was brought up with the finest of manners.I put good manners into use each and every day to one and all. I try to treat everyone with respect and dignity even if they feel like biting my head off simply because they're having a bad day. I just tell them to have a good one with a smile.

Oh, I agree, it takes a good spell to get it to leave your vehicle(s). You do realize that the smell of stockyards and feed lots are the smell of money to farmers and ranchers, right? We learn to take the bad with the good and vice versa.

Have you ever dared tread upon Texas soil? Have you ever listened to the sound of a Mockingbird teaching their fledgling young to fly, or roused a flock of grouse into early morning flight? Have you ever gentled a colt that was as wild as deer? Have you ever fished one of her wonderful lakes? Or partaken of the fresh seafood on the coast? Have you ever shared a meal or a drink with a Texan? Have you ever gotten to know one personally, learning of their family and friends? We have everything here- from the Franklin Mountains of El Paso and the rich history of the Spanish, Native American and White folks all converged. We have the Big Bend area of camping and hiking, to the beautiful bluebonnets that bloom in Springtime in the famed Hill Country.. to the miles upon miles of coast, where fishing and boating are King.There's more wildlife than you can shake a stick at- turkeys, white tail deer, quail, javelinas, etc... Many people are sportsmen, either in hunting or in fishing or both. There's plenty to share with all.

Do you know where the term, "Everything Is Big In Texas" came from? It comes from a deep and abiding pride in and of our state. We're happy to share with all and sad to see you go, but you're always welcome to come back.
