RE: Do you support home schooling?

you are very committed in your position and can find lots of reasons for no. So clearly not for you as an extreme and not in mid of a bell curve to discuss/debate.

RE: Do you support home schooling?

That I would agree with. Also you rip through your studies in about 3 hrs with home schooling. When we went to school if we were in one place for a while, myself and my brother were always stunned at the amount of time wasting that went on.
Now self directed learning is all the rage.
Something home schooled kids did all along. So uni generally is easy for us.

RE: Do you support home schooling?

And one of the most idiosyncratic typers;-) Thanks for your kind words and friendship. You may be right. I guess one of the things is one does not get indoctrinated to herd mentality. But that may be just my own stubborn personality. In the end by the time you hit work, uni, postgraduate studies, it all sort of levels out. I fit like a pea in a pod with my colleagues and we are all from vastly differing backgrounds.

I know in the US they home school. In OZ because of distance many used to do school of the air or distance (correspondence ) lessons. I've also done a combination of those with home schooling when I was in my pre uni years. My father was an entrepreneur and so we traveled. So maybe its more my upbringing than my education that forms me?

RE: Do you support home schooling?

I was home schooled. Makes no difference.

Nice Conrad! I have one slightly off main topic but on point for sub topic;

Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock.

We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. And all whilst wearing skirts kilts

Does flirting involve fish in Finland?

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

RE: Former Prime Minister to feature on new £5 note

Some people regard private enterprise as a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look on it as a cow they can milk. Not enough people see it as a healthy horse, pulling a sturdy wagon.

RE: Former Prime Minister to feature on new £5 note

I like the old Walrus. This is great...and not just for the Churchill quotes ;-)

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

RE: Changing oil filter without changing oil . is it useful ?

and as i said at the outset, for this 'savings' just see what your insurance company will say when you try to claim and they find you what you did that leads to the fault. ha ha.

RE: LOVE!

nope. but I've watched guys become weird over me as a random stranger. Thats kind of creepy. This is just an e commerce exchange point site to then do the real work of meeting up with a person to see what their beliefes, socieo economic status, looks , compatibility are
otherwise the rest is obsession and fantaysy land weirdness

RE: Are You Sincere In Your Love Search?

exactally ;-)
Isnt that the point...and in the course one may be valued rather than being seen as bait ;-)

RE: Has this site or any other ever found you someone or even a date ?

Normal then. Incredulous re guys who want to jump my bones after a coffee meet up.
Best to have realistic expectations. Noobs scare me;-)

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

Cars...like ppl...luck of the draw

and i've had my near new Euro do a complete computerised shut down and require $5kAUD (bit more than in USD) in work. Fortunately VW footed the bill for that one

But as a single female I'm not taking a chance in old, poor quality cars. A gamble but less of a gamble.

RE: Are You Sincere In Your Love Search?

No body loves medevil

RE: Are You Sincere In Your Love Search?

Sincere but leave love out of it as I dont know what that word is

I'm looking for a life partner. An equal so share thick n thin with. Another person of stubstance like myself

Like Woody Allen says (and that I'v heavily extended upon) eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it, and my wardrobe aint big enough for that long a time!

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

In Australia we say

F.O.R.D Found on Rubbish Dumps

H.O.L.D.E.N Bareley Holden (slang for holding) together

RE: who you date someone who is still married if their legally separated

no. Separation is not a term under law. Only a decree absolute means the person has closure and is legaly able to move on.
Hence why for international marriages they ask for a copy from divocred ppl. Separation is zippo in law land.

On the emotive side you should also question why the person has not finalised the contract and is now out shopping when they cant exercise the option to purchase;-)
That may be very uncomfortable, revealing and save some parties a lot of pain

RE: Pedro's weather thread...

It will make you all sick with jealous tongue

21 degrees

not a cloud in the sky. Clear blue like only Australian country skies can be. Sun is shining. Light breeze. Autumn leaves and brids singing. Ah.
