A study conducted by Roman Stocker, an MIT professor and roommate of Cutta Cutta, a cat he rescued from a Boston animal shelter, has revealed a fascinating difference between the way cats and dogs drink liquid.
As it turns out, nature has designed kitties as more resourceful drinkers than their canine counterparts.
When a dog drinks water, she uses her tongue to scoop the liquid into her mouth. It’s an inefficient and downright sloppy method of hydration, as any dog owner can attest.
Cats, on the other hand, use a balance of gravity and inertia to get every last drop they lap into their mouths. Kitties use the tip of the tongue to pull water upward, and then know exactly when to close their jaws before gravity can return the liquid to the bowl.
This is truly a feat of speed and timing!
According to Professor Stocker in an interview with LiveScience:
"Perhaps the most intriguing part of what we found was that the cats seemed to know just exactly how rapidly or how fast they should lap. By lapping at the right time, take optimal advantage of this balance between inertia and gravity."

I think a lesson in argument construct may be required;
"All swans are white" is falsifiable, because it can come in conflict with the observation "this swan is black." In contrast, the statement "White swans do exist" is not falsifiable, since no counter-example is logically possible. Falsifiability exploits this asymmetry of deductive logic with respect to universal and existential statements to attempt to solve the problem of demarcation.

All I can see here is bias, emotion and illogical conclusions based on flawed reasoning and constructs.
to really confuse all...one of my degrees is in education. Now pedagogy is shifting from behind bricks and mortar to open and on line. And most uni courses we audit ...many students even full time watch the pod casts on line and dont go. So unis really have a problem with what to do with empty physical assets now.
Curtis Bonk has written a lot on this in 'the world is open' so one really needs to research and shift from such polarist thinking grounded in 19c
In the end I think its up to every individual to work out what is best for their particular circumstances and experience. Pros and cons can be debated either way so only the family will know what is best for the long term interests. In my case I have nothing but positive to say for my home schooling years. It prepared me well for uni and post grad So research research research and form your own conclusions
He has a position to sell with no debates to be entered into. So logic and reason will not work. If one really wanted to know you would simply research on home schooling and let the positive evidence stand for itself. That is the nature of bell curve demographics. Those at the extremes are rooted in their positions so are a lost cause to reasoned debate. Hence always work with middle of a curve.
