I prefer reality to escapist fantasies, magic, farie stories and other mass cultural delusions you care to list. If it's to be it's up to me. I deal with what I can change.
Obstinance Works as inflamatory as the remarks are does raise a point for debate.
In my majority thee bulk of people view divorce as 'a failed marriage' hence when one mentions it they ask who was at fault etc and the whole littany of sad sack stories I've yet to hear someone say 'I had a successful marriage for x years' and view this as a success with a natural end point.
On religion well they are immoral in the sense that they debase human rights and ethics. So unless one frees themselves of isms and dogmas then there will always be religious beliefs to muddy the waters of human rights.
For paperwork they always will track these things.
As to the personal its a state of mind thing.
Some list divorced as that is where there head is at For others single as it's ancient history.
When you have divorce 90% of the time the interested party wants to go back to 15years ago to go over talk about if you are still in 'lurve' bla bla and stuff you have no interest in when there have been so many other far more crappy stories since So its really up to where your head is at
Thanks for posting this. Any Aussie would have done that so thats going to be a long search. In the end does it matter which individual. Highlighting the struggle for human rights is what this post has done. These are the current countries with much to address;
One of the meanings of "cockle" is the chamber of a kiln: in reference to the heart, it refers to the chambers, of which there are four (two atria and two ventricles). The heart has always been associated with emotions, especially love, excitement and fear, probably because when we feel a strong emotion we feel our heart thumping and beating faster. So when something "warms the cockles of our heart", it is a reference to something pleasant that makes our heart beat faster and makes us feel good. It is probably also the origin of the saying that something gives us that "warm and fuzzy feeling".
Thanks Tomcat - that's so lovely of you ;-)and likewise I enjoy seeing your comments.
The idea of 'the one' is disturbing for the same reasons you outline. I always wonder if a person's 'the one' was run over by a bus are they then forever screwed in the lurve department?
The rise of the modern concept of modern romantic love ...that is easily enough found with a little 'Google research'....but for another thread it would be interesting to talk about where the concept of 'The One' has come from and why it is so popular.
I think the love phenomenon occurs often enough where people experience themselves in 'love'. And for some they are a little more innured (immune) to this phenomenon.
I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. (Albert Einstein, 1954)
I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings. (Albert Einstein)
Yes - to further clarify, Einstein's god was Spinoza's god and Spinoza was an excommunicated Jew for his pantheistic views that did not sit with Jewish religious visions of an interventionist personified god.
Here to help you on your way to draw your own conclusions ;-) Great question that sparked a lively debate.
I'm visitng your wonderful contry in June. You guys are an incredibly mixed up part of the world ;-) so have a very unique position/perspective on these things.
RE: The world's friendliest countries
I would have thought Bali, Thailand, Iran,
