RE: the family of CS

<------------------Auntie Mame. The one that says odd non sequitur stuff but seems harmless enough.

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

I dunno

Truly ghastly I would say;

Leyland P76

& Pinto 'fireballs'

some of the old soviet clunkers were not pretty but at least they keep going

RE: Name a Greek word, which comes to mind, in your own language.

Malaka

Hey I'm from Melbourne therefore it is a word in our language. As im sure you know the largest density of Greeks outside of Athens;-)

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

Agreed. Lucas electrics ...terrible. Italian tutto e bella figura!

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

I have a mental image of Boban in Mexicali bullet belts crossed over chest, two kalishvakovs, bottle of arachia or slivovits, yeee haaaa ing and firing whislt driving a hum veehead banger

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

Trabant? roll eyes

RE: Lunar eclipse at 5 degrees of Scorpio on 25th of April 2013

I'm with Sheldon on this one

No funny sun but a magic full moon view as I type. I love living in the country;-)

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

Here guys in their 50s buy Harleys. Generally solicitors, accountants. Part of Harley's marketing strategy...they are selling the ability to make these guys look tough/cool scare people ;-)

RE: Changing oil filter without changing oil . is it useful ?

always both. You dont buy a decent car then mistreat. Also check your insurance policy to check you dont void it by tinkering with 'savings' such as this

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

i buy because i like despite the ridiculous import taxes we pay here. Could never buy local sorry not my style

RE: When you buy a vehichle, do you buy...

Always Euros. And in the last few years always VW
But i have my eye on a Peugot Convertible at the moment so this may change

RE: A true Soulmate

I'm still sticking with the definition as being some fancy type of shoe glue based on spellings on this trite 'philosophical' question over the years. It has more logic.

RE: Have you ever had a VERY sad day?

- as you can tell I'm not into sapppy n platitudes

This helps;-)

RE: Has this site or any other ever found you someone or even a date ?

Better find some shoe glue then ;-)

RE: still single and looking????????

exactally. My point. So many people with so much going for them and we all still struggle.
The best defence is outrageous self confidence ;-)

RE: Has this site or any other ever found you someone or even a date ?

Well done you. Yup its a bit like that. I always worry about the noobs who complain after 2months of not finding 'true lurve'

RE: Has this site or any other ever found you someone or even a date ?

absolutely

RE: still single and looking????????

Interesting between the lines interpretation but not the intent

It means im not here for being 'taken and shaken' but for an equal. And if not then i will continue to live my life. I'm awesome!

RE: still single and looking????????

nah nobody cares about that. Its all about looks. Investing time and seeing the worth?. Wanting to be an upstanding partner who values and ads value?. Apparently not. Hence better off alone.

RE: still single and looking????????

ah Beckett . so apt.

RE: Have you ever had a VERY sad day?

Hey lovely!
hmmm. Going through a hard time myself and I wont say why either ;-)

Cry or don't cry it wont change a damn thing so just get on with it. Life is hard and you just pull on your 'big girl pants' and deal with stuff. I should know. I have NO ONE in the world to help me. When you are in my shoes you can either collapse or deal. I deal. Who knows how it all will pan out. But life is not 'fair'

Probably not the fluffy 'there there' stuff you want to hear but I believe once you deal with life as it is the rest is just 'stuff'.

RE: Buy a house for £1 in the UK.

RE: Buy a house for £1 in the UK.

Also a great way to xpolinate the demographic to mix it up if owner occupiers that can't get into other areas move into and inject a new way into the area. Also thinking of down shifters.
Easy to be negative and cynical as any fool can condemn criticize and complain. Harder is to come up with a solution.

RE: what can you see out of your window?

180 degree mountain views to the Snowys, Mount Ainslie and the Brindabellas. Autumn colours. Hot air balloons. Gallahs and Cockies, and trees everywhere.

RE: Can "LOVE" truly be felt via the Net?

My sentiments exactally. Diamonds are special because they are rare. So I have all this experience, but still I refuse to become cynical and give up. But I do believe that the internet will give you a very poor impression quickly! If I know of a better way to meet a single man I would pursue that over this?....ABSOLUTELY!

RE: Can "LOVE" truly be felt via the Net?

Exactally Catsy. To exand further....to know someone a site is just an exchange transaction site for people to connect (using a goods and services analogy)
Then one needs to meet. After 3 months (the old 90 day rule) is a reasonable time for each other to know all the good and bad about each other and see if they still like each other or the lust is past. Then the real work begins

Unfortunately mainly its now the pressure to follow through on lust and after ninety days ur left wondering 'what the Fork was that all about'.

So of course this is my own warped perspective - but I wanted to clarify as ur so cute Catsy....and not crush your hopes.....

I just wish men and woman would take time to know and honour each other rather than pump and dump which seems to be the modern instant way.

This also explains why prissy me is still virtuously single!
Everyone else has zoomed by one the way to Macdonalds instant 'lurve' .

RE: Atheists win Ten Commandments battle

This old Chesnut. Not going to be solved in a forum. The greatest minds in the world have tackled this and if both the godists and atheists dont know then I doubt this method will.

I think tolerance is key. Accept we don't know....then everyone is free to believe what makes them happy. And one can only dream that humans learn to not bash each other over the head with one's own belief system

Phew I feel better now. Just that these posts seem to form the bulk of postings here....so probably not the right place for me clearly this sitehelp

RE: Can "LOVE" truly be felt via the Net?

Nope. But I've experiened others that are infatuated after 4days talking to me as a ranom stanger. That I find frankly....disturbing.

RE: There Is No Magic In The World

Ah misunderstood in my lifetime. I always seem to confuse u and get an F. Perhaps we are on different tangents but I will reply as I see fit ;-)

RE: There Is No Magic In The World

Ah misunderstood in my own lifetime ;-) Bogart u always give me an F for my responses. Perhaps we are on different tangents and I will not reply as you expect? One to ponder
