But everywhere is speed date in France/Italy ;-) Girl gets off plane, is in cafe, is walking down street - everywhere is 'mais allo mon cheri you is zo comment on di biutiful....'
Just look at men and womens profiles on any dating site. Men age discriminate in very high percentages. Their age or 15 years younger. Now look at the womens prefered age ranges. I think the raw age preference/range numbers speak for themselves.
Actually Tom, I do believe that's true. There are more readers on here than participators because they simply choose not to comment based on the fact that their interaction may be deemed to be too grandiose because they have a more serious nature.
/quote] Correct. Or the subject matter is not exactally what I for one would freely chose to participate in.
Tee hee - that was going to be my cute weisenheimer answer! Then I'd be wishing for all sorts of trivial things: New Peugot Convertible Dream Man Dream Home
Catsy you are so cute! A hopeless romantic who wears her heart on her sleeve. Therefore you you darling....be even extra careful as you are so sweet......just my immpression after reading your threads and replies
Dogmatism and skepticism are both, in a sense, absolute philosophies; one is certain of knowing, the other of not knowing. What philosophy should dissipate is certainty, whether of knowledge or ignorance.
Neither the Godists or the Dawkinists can argue this one and it's been done to death so to parapharase a classic letter, 'yes Virginia there is a santaclause or god...it exists in the hearts or minds'
Believe what you want! But best for us all to not ram our dogmas and ims down other peoples throats
I was responding to the question 'have you ever fallen for somebody after a few messages' Therfore I was not debating the merits, pros and cons of various relationships forms which is a separate discourse with points for discussion as you have raised as opposed to the phenonmenon of 'falling'.
nope but i experience it often enough. It's called projection. They look at a picture then make up a personality to fit their needs and then they are 'in love' and start behaving in strange ways and ascribing traits to you. Which then starts to make you feel weird and you think WTF I'm a random stranger to this person.
Ah humans so illogical
Transference/Projection
transference: the process by which emotions and desires originally associated with one person, such as an ex, parent or family, are unconsciously shifted to another person
projection: The attribution of one's own attitudes, feelings, or desires to someone or something
Successful or unsuccessful there are good and bad people in all walks. The danger is in polarised thought processes and yes or no thinking. Important to keep thinking.
yes cogito ergo bla bla. But what constitutes one and how does one know oneself and how does one separate a one ness from the collected consciousness. Yup blam Umberto Eco on this line of questioning. I should be drinking not thinking
