There could be lot’s of reasons as to why this man left without a trace. Perhaps he was afraid or was triggered off in a negative way about something you said to him. It could also be that he may have a few skeletons on the closet and does not have the self esteem to be upfront with you.
Just don’t play the victim role. Chances are you have nothing to do with his actions in the first place.
That’s one form of spirituality. The act of giving. If I am searching a path of enlightenment, I should not have to worry about being in a situation where I have to be, feel or say sorry in the first place.
If I was already involved, I would stay till the end. Before hand? I’m not sure. I have never been in a situation like that. The process of love has profound impacts on us.
Well, you can keep the info to yourself and let this man be open to searching for other victims here on C.S. or other dating sites. I would also call the Police.
This is not to say that this man won’t try other means of getting what he wants. At least you could make it a little more difficult for him to continue.
I agree. That’s why I think it’s a very good idea to research their threads. Look for any unusual patterns in their response to other members. This way, you will have a glimpse of who these people are. It takes time to know someone.
There’s this old saying, “fake it till you make it”. I don’t think that always applies here on C.S. Eventually, the truth will come out. Just like in the real world. It’s just a matter of time.
You have people who are in worst situations and they seem to do swell in relationships. Give yourself space during your recovery phase. This way, you can have the energy to focus on the other person.
