I think there are different 'kinds' of love and different 'levels' of love.
The love we have for ours parents, our siblings, our children is different to that of the love we feel for our friends ie different levels...
Most of love our children on a very deep level..
We would have a different kind of love for our partner ie a love that involves intimacy which we don't feel with the aforementioned....therefore different kinds of love
I think all types of love are based on a deep level of respect and can be unconditional yes. All meaningful relationship can start out unconditional on whatever level or kind but the 'unconditional' will eventually dry up it the respect is continually and over a long period of time not reciprocated......
For to truly love another one must truly love the self first and in accepting continuous disrespect then one is not loving the self and the 'unconditional' love must end........
Haven't read any of the threads but always remember the story of the city mouse and the country mouse the story I used to read to my girls when they were little. A great little story so amusing, interesting and profound.....
I recently meet a guy from CS (on a date) and I reminded him of the story of the city mouse and the country and of how it may cause problems for us both.....on saying that
I was born and breed in the city but have always spent time in the country on holidays, trips etc,. and have loved every moment.....
I do love nature and the space in the country but as for living there permanently I am half scared as to how I would survive. I often think with the right person and with the comforts and communication of the modern world would it not be pure heaven as at my age I do not need the mayhem and hustle and bustle of the bright city lights. The city is always there when needs be........ie one can always visit for the concerts, restaurants, shopping etc,. stay over night and then return to the peace and tranquility of the natural world
It has been said that one survives in the city but one actually 'lives' in the country.....

I can understand this and what you have been saying. Makes sense to me and has certainly taught me something and given me food for thought......I thank you for same........
Is it possible that these so called "plastic people" are just shy and slow to come on a public forum and are just not as confident and forward as most established on the site.....Maybe they agree in order to fit in... With some friendliness and encouragement they might come out of there shell and have something real to bring to the world wide forum ......
Maybe they are more genuine than most considering how slow they are to speak, they may think more about what they say......ie are thoughtful and sincere
Plastic people to me are self centered, shallow and are totally absorbed by how they look etc,. and judge others by same........
RE: Breaking Chains
Very good. Thought provoking.....oh the joys of "travelling light" springs to mind
