It's my second Mother's day without my Mom. Wonderful lady, I think about her often.
I always be sure that the kids are with their Mom's (plural) on Mother's day. I guess it's easy because they are close, well not that close. I just forgot about it until Pucks posted this thread. Thanks Pucks!

Just off the top of my head....
One Sunday I decided to BBQ in my back porch because it was raining. Everything was going just fine, I was cooking wings. There was smoke escaping out the door of course.
I hear fire trucks speeding down the busy side street as I usually do. I stand out the door and watch. Yup there they go...wait their turning onto my street.....oh, their stopping close by....right by my house.
I thought "Oh my god" the neighbors house is on fire. Another truck stops directly in front of my house, four guys come running around the side of my house. Ummmm errrrr uhhhhh, just cooking supper guys. How embarrassing.
I think they where just hungry, it was around 5:00 pm.
