As much as I would like to I can't argue that for many reasons, that could go on and on. One can be in love with an other, without the other even knowing, possibly the thought of love,,,,don't know. As well, some even develope an amunity to love.
This is where science falls short, I'm sure they have done experiments, but likely fallen in love and tainted the results...
TAKE me to the riverrrR DIP me in the waterrrrRR...
I guess it is a form of art where people express themselves, cry out, WHINE,, etc. The mass seems to enjoy this stuff, as it may give them certain emotional strength, blah blah blah.
There is much that needs tending to on our little blue ball. If things have gone to far where we need to look elsewhere it would make more sense to have astronauts accustomed to space through moon experiments etc, rather than sampling mars. Ya think?
But with tobacco and alcohol there needs to be a phase out period, perhaps we're in it. I may get thumped but alcohol is just as damaging as tobacco. The tax spending will always be controversial. Actually the effects of second hand smoke is also controversial, I agree not good though.
For a government to enforce these things in the private (family) lives is not something I am in favor of. Why not say if you are a smoker, ya can't have kids ....come on. BULL. BUT WE SELL IT!! HA HA ..whatever.
I'm a long term smoker and drinker. Remember when smoking in the theatre, even the hospital was ok. But do agree with the smoking ban in public places for sure. I know there are responsible people too, but in general there is no argument from me that tobacco and alcohol is statistically unhealthy/damaging on society, health wise.
If governments want to help protect children there is a lot of work to do,,, mostly within the organization/agency!
There is no question that certain crimes would sway my emotions towards the death penalty.
Yet, in general, I feel that the death penalty is a step to far for a troubled and less than perfect legal system. Besides two wrongs don't make a right. A death sentence is irreversible in case of error. Innocent people ARE convicted, some are fortunate enough to prove that, but I believe some aren't.
I agree that certain crimes should be ineligible for parole, with mandatory life sentencing, your there till you die and time served prior to trail is irrelevant, unless you prove your innocence. They should also put these inmates in with the general population, after conviction, instead of continuing to protect them.
I probably don't know much on the subject to comment ....but
I thought they had seatbelts in the smaller buses?
I don't agree that because lap belts are known to cause abdominal injuries in children is reason to abort the idea of any type of safety restraints at all. Nore do I agree with the fact the re-design, or financial concerns should stand in the way of ensuring safety, especially in school buses.
All I've ever thought on this issue is that the bigger buses carry alot more people. In the event of being submerged or in the case of fire, panic is likely, and escape could be difficult, especially for younger children. There is only one driver to ensure the escape of the passengers.
I think there is enough technology today to outfit buses with safety restraints, and that wearing them in buses should be mandatory. Your body flying through the bus could put others in danger.
Provincial governments should create the momentum for other provinces to follow, in the design and enforcement for the installation of safety on buses, especially school buses. I think that school buses should be one of the safest vehicles on the road.
Easier said than done, I know. But something DOES need to be done.
I don't agree that wearing seatbelts in personal vehicles should be mandatory.
Cell phones while driving though, GEEEEZ!! I've seen people completely out to lunch on the road while yapping on their phones.
geez I was just having a beer and there ya are. Seems you're living life alright ........well ....you know the old stuff, love finds us. I agree with the captain you are better looking ...no sorry, just the beer..
Well, not sure if it is a good/bad thing, but good to see you here.
Think it's a good thing...
looks like somone is peeing in the dark around here and it's NOT ME!!
IM is widely and freely available in yahoo and MSN etc. It is just as easy to PM your ID to someone and carry on that way. But I do agree of course that IM would be a nice idea on this site.
Although, integrating a IM feature onto the site would likely increase the bandwidth usage. With the added bandwidth and maintenance to the site, just my opinion but, may lower the possibility of it remaining free.
RE: Whisky
"The second worm, he put into the whiskey. It writhed painfully, and quickly sank to the bottom, dead as a doornail."This explains the worm in the tequila bottle, I think this guy has been at it for some time.
