Anyways, the core of this poll is to determine the justification of having gun control as the solution to these unspeakable tragedies.
In reality I said it before and I will say it again. The criminals will always have these guns. It doesn't make sense that a legal, decent and responsible can't own them.

However, there are many reasons why this second Amendment is so important, like I mentioned on my response to your original post, this is rooted from the founding institution of these country. They made sure that there is no government that is corrupt and powerful to disregard the rights of the people. We are armed for that purpose. But yes, there are so many people that can come and harm you in your place of residence and having these guns empower you to kill them before you are killed.
I reiterate, neither these tragedies, justify the removal of such right. But the obvious agenda of the liberals who are already bent to destroy this country will be served best.
I can't help but wondering about how corruption has anything to do with gun control. But let us just say, it is the issue, which is not, I think your country as all other countries with the exception of Switzerland, are all corrupt.

Simple Serene, it is not a matter of fascination as much as a matter of protection. Here is the thing., The reason why it was a part of the second Amendment or included in the Constitution is that, as a free country, the founders of the Constitution thought that the government can't have too much power and if they act exactly like that, then the people can have protection from the government. Eventually, it became also a part of the protection of the citizens from harm either from invaders or any enemy, ie if someone comes and harm you at your domain, you have the right to kill them before they kill you.
Now here is the thing. It is established that these massacres or tragedies are done mostly by nuts and loonies. Taking away that right wouldn't help reduce these occurrence.
Personally, I do want to have my right to own gun for protection. But people have to be more responsible and by doing so, the person who is applying for license should be, a decent man or woman and no criminal records.

That is the point there. This law, the right to bear arm is to protect ourselves from the government. Not for hunting, not for any other reason but literally to protect us from our own government. So then why are the liberals trying to change this? Go figure.
Exactly Miwagi, that is the problem. These nuts and these loonies are the ones causing these problems. There has been a need of these people to go to the assylum and have themselves locked up.
Thank you, I don't have any problem either with the stricter laws or the limit of the automatic weaponry. I am oppose to the notion that the right to bear arm is completely removed from the constitution.
