Oh dear I think we all did that. I only went because they had paper and paints. I was so young that it all went over my head and I think I asked too many questions.
Yes and I imagine they pay taxes here too. I was buying gifts for my grandchildren's Christening and I was very shocked and offended by some of the heartless and egotistical merchandise that was being sold in the name of God. I also heard two members of staff being very rude about another member of staff. I just didn't expect any of that in a church.
I really don't like that side of what Churches are doing. I just wish there were more useful ways for them to accumulate money that also benefit their parish. I really like the whole community participation you talk of.
that's fine! It's Exeter. The charge was £7 for visitors to the city but I was recently told they'd been trying a charge of £10. It is definitely worth a visit. More later. i have visitors on their way.
I think we often mis understand one another. I am a bit clumsy with my words. Yes it's always nice when someone gets your point of view but interesting to hear others too.
My Ex husband refused to go in a church because many people died during construction. I seem to have the opposite view that there's all the more reason to preserve them and the amazing skills and courage of the past.
Hi my friend. Last time I slept in Spain I shared the bed with a mouse who left his/her calling card on my pillow at night. I have to say the heat didn't bother me much when i had that to look forward to every night.
CHURCH BUILDINGS
I guess they can't risk opening the flood gates.
