I would very much like to see source material for this 100,000 year gap you profess. having done a great deal of study in the area of mans evolution of tools. I have never heard this claim made.
I know what genesis says, don't care, no evidence its true thus I don't believe. No evidence of giants either so I stand by my position. And if you believe in giants then again, don't call me the fool.....
Lol, don't care where the quote is from, there are no giants and never have been. And yet you call me the fool, I would say a fool believes in giants....
Let me start by pointing out that he started a thread which puts his position out for discussion. Thus it is perfectly reasonable to question the evidence which leads him to believe. Furthermore I respect my fellow humans, I don't however respect silly superstitions. For that I need evidence that the superstition is true.
I don't think we need to take a different view of it, its wrong period. We also need to realize that you cant populate the world from one original couple, its impossible out question.
We are not talking first cousins here, its at best half brother and sister. point is simple, there is no way you can populate the earth just 1 couple. And then you have Noah and his family, still not enough genetic diversity to populate the earth. I submit its all BS.
I don't know, is there a god? Did a guy named Moses talk to a god? Did a guy named Moses build a ship and take two of each kind on board? Did the world flood and if it did were did all that water come from and were did it go?
And for any of my questions which are answered in the positive I would like evidence.
I simply have no evidence for the existence of a god thus disbelief is my default position. I cannot claim to know there is no god but have no reason to believe there is.
Of coarse it matters. When people of faith are trying to legislate morality and force feed religion in schools it matters. When there are places in the world were non belief is punishable by death it matters. When here in the US non believers are often discriminated against it matters. When wars are fought based on bronze age beliefs it matters. Religion is a major problem in the world today used to justify horrific acts in the name of a god it does matter.
When religion dies I believe the world will be a much better place. So yes it all matters.....
I have no proof of gods existing thus I have no reason to believe. I cant prove a god doesn't exist as no one can prove non existence of anything. I only believe in that which I have evidence for.
RE: Religion is great, just how it is used that is bad
Agreed and over 94% of the bible is crap.....
