My dad is a WW2 vet with a purple heart. He has never spoken to any of our family about the time he served. I still wished him "thank you" and spent the day with him.
That is so cool that he did that. It was probably so cool to his daughter, himself and family members to look back on.
Back in the day when we used cameras and didn't have smartphones. I took so many pictures that I have boxes full and it's fun to watch her reaction when we pull out the boxes. Her dad, my ex-husband enjoys it also. Nostalgia.
Not all, but most. The judicial system makes it hard for felons to become a good member of society. They are sometimes set up for failure. The felons end up going back to their old ways and return to prison.
