The American idea of religion is that it is a personal and private search for God, not a mandate to control other people. Islam on the other hand is all about worldly laws and mandates to control others.
I think America needs a strong Third Party or national organization for Independent voters. I'm against term limits. We already have a method of changing Congress every few years if we want to - it's called elections.
If a state feels their Representative to Congress is doing a good job, and they want to re-elect him for 24 years like Vermont has done with Bernie Sanders, I think that is their call, and other states shouldn't pass a law requiring them to settle for a pig in a poke.
The rules, regulations and procedures for writing and getting bills passed in Congress are complex. Having neophytes in there every couple years would add to the confusion, not improve the Congress. A better idea would be for individual citizens to pay more attention to what their Representatives are doing and get involved in recruiting a new one if the existing one isn't panning out.
I agree with the OP that the worst thing about this site is the number of people who are on here every day who have nothing to contribute but try to call attention to themselves by being silly or debasing others, usually emphasized by childish emoticons. All they do is call attention to the shallow emptiness of their own lives.
Yes, many people have forgotten their aim of joining CS, or never had dating in mind to begin with, from the appearance of their silly or obnoxious posts emphasized by childish emoticons.
Do you have this same problem talking to men? Perhaps you should open your conversations with things that are common to all people, and see the conversations as friendly learning experiences instead seeing every one as a scoring opportunity.
Sometimes we have to meet many people before finding an honest compatible companion. Therefore it’s wise to check them out as much as possible before getting too involved. Too many people think a new encounter is “the one” much too quickly, setting themselves up for disappointment.
I think all the different reasons have already been given why people don't post their photo on their profile. However I still see questions about it, so I will post my preferences:
I would write to a guy with a good profile and no photo but not to a guy with a good photo and a bad profile. So with me, no photo is no problem until I like a guy’s correspondence enough to get curious about his looks. Then I like to exchange photos and other ID information before going any further or planning to meet. As far as the claim that profiles with photos get more responses, I'm sure they do. I'm also sure I wouldn't want to meet most of the men responding to them.
I saw this same or a very similar experiment on TV where they filmed the reactions of both the men and women meeting their date wearing the fat suit.
Both the men and women had their time wasted equally because both weren't interested in seeing the other person again, but the women were slightly more polite. For the one man who was cordial, the actress did explain she was wearing a fat suit and that the encounter was being filmed. I think they planned to meet later minus the fat suit.

If all men felt like you there probably wouldn't be any need for bridal shops. Women might not find any man they wanted to marry. Sorry you don't feel your mother was qualified to be in politics, but many women are more qualified than some men.

This is like many singles sites where people acquire cliques or circles of acquaintances instead of dates or romantic love or even real friends. Their cliques will never date them or be there for them in person, but they use the familiar faces as a substitute for the real thing.
When you have emotional pain, it's important to be good to yourself with good food, good rest and good exercise. Getting involved in a group activity is good or just taking long solitary walks in a pleasant place. Treat yourself to relaxing candle light bubble baths and good music. Hope you feel better soon.

In the Netherlands, there is a member of Parliment campaigning to stop the Islamisation of the Netherlands by ending the imigration of Muslims from Muslim countries. There is a political Party in Australia advocating the same. I think the United States should do likewise. Sorry to hear about the situation in Great Britain and hope some movement develops to correct it.
