In Genesis 1 God creates humans "male and female" in his image, and gives them dominion over the living things he has created, and commands them to "be fruitful and multiply."
Genesis 2 opens with God fashioning a man from the dust and blowing life into his nostrils. God plants a garden (the Garden of Eden) and sets the man there, "to work it and watch over it," permitting him to eat of all the trees in the garden except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, "for on the day you eat of it you shall surely die." Then God creates the animals, attempting to find a help-mate for the man; but none of the animals are satisfactory, and so God causes the man to sleep, and creates a woman from his rib. The man names her "Woman" (Heb. ishshah), "for this one was taken from a man" (Heb. ish). "On account of this a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his woman
'I know you created me and provided this beautiful garden and all these wonderful animals as well as that hilarious snake, but I'm just not happy, '
'And why is that Eve?'
'God, I am lonely and bored and I'm sick to death of apples.'
'Well Eve, in that case I shall create a man for you'
'Man? What is that, God?'
'A flawed base creature with many bad traits. he'll lie, cheat and be vain. He will revel in childish things. he'll be bigger than you and will like fighting, hunting and killing things. He won't be too smart so will need your advice to think properly. He will have a limited emotional capacity so will need to be trained. He will look silly when aroused, but since You've been complaining of boredom, I'll create him in such a way that he will satisfy your physical needs and you need never be bored again.'
'Sounds great', said Eve but what's the catch, God'
'Well, you can have him on one condition.'
'And what's that, God?'
'As I said, he'll be proud, arrogant and self-admiring, so you'll have to let him believe I made him first. And it will have to be our little secret. You know, woman to woman.'
It would have taken a long time for their kids to grow up and marry their brothers and sisters and does the bible not say they went to a far off place. Would not the family been in the same place.
My daughter and her boyfriend and his son will be going to Calgary on Friday and returning on Sunday to spend Thanksgiving with his family as his father is very ill and will not live much longer, so this will be the last time he will see him alive.
My other two daughters and my two grand daughters will be here with me Saturday and Sunday and then we all will be together on Monday for our Dinner.
I am thankful that my youngest has been sober and off drugs for two months now.
My 4 yr. old grand daughter is seeing the heart specialist again tomorrow and glad they found out from her sleep test that her heart is bad again and she will likely need surgery now.
I am thankful that my 2 yr. old grand daughter is finally seeing the specialist for her hearing on Friday and now we can finally find out what can be done for her and have the tumor behind her ear removed and hopefully with hearing aids will be able to hear. She is wearing glasses now so she can finally see enough to learn to sign.
No it was I had to stop doing things as my legs would not bend or my hips from arthritis. I was doing fine until they pulled the medicine off the market and have not found one that does the same since.
I miss going for walks around the neighbourhood and just walking through the mall. Now I get too tired and half to sit down all the time or the pain gets too bad.
I will be 59 this year and I am feeling like I am getting over the hill now. My legs do not work like I would want them too and cannot do what I used to love to do.
The clinics here are taking no new patients. Should I just go in there and say I will not leave until I see a doctor, or just go in everyday asking,"are you taking new patients yet" or just give up.
They said they have not taken anyone new in a year, do I have to wait until someone dies first, to make room. My daughter got stung by a bee and went in and they would not treat her as they are not taking anyone new.
