I think its that type of thinking that has gotten us into this mess. O'Bama, nor the Gov, is not there to police the world. I would completely disagree with interference of this level in any other countries policies. I guess you and I have a different view of what is termed terrorism. Lots of innocent Syrians have been terrorised by arms supplied by the US Gov. Who's the terrorist here ?
Here was my question.
Do you think the US has not provided arms and funding to overthrow Assad ?
If, If, If Lyndsay. Migration in and of itself is not a crime.
You keep asking questions yet don't answer mine.
I wish we in the west were more vigilant of what our Gov's are doing in our name right now, as opposed to spreading fear about the migration this humanitarian crisis may or may not bring.
Do you think the US has not provided arms and funding to overthrow Assad ?
Your seperate question. Nope, from what I have read, the vast majority of people are migrating because of immediate need. Of course there is a percentage of them seeking a better life. What the percentage is, I have no clue, like everyone else. Migration, in and of itself, is not a crime.
The US is involved in the ME because of Oil, no other reason. Syria was seen as a country that would be friendly to the US if they could overthrow Assad. Throw weapons and funds at people who want Assad out and look what happens. Innocent people die, and are left with no homes, in their millions. This is the here and now.
We, the people, have to live with the consequences of being pawns in a modern day Game of Thrones.
Again, I find the narrative of these various threads extremely disconcerting.
Oh the refugees are going to build mosques. Oh they will be a drain on our resources.
1. For the USA to get out out of Syria. Out. 2. For the USA and other Gov's they convince to back them, to get out of the middle east and concentrate on serious problems they have at home. From Bush's war on terror has led to more terror, hatred and radicalism. 3. The refugee crisis is a humantarian crisis, it needs immediate action, needed it long ago to be honest. Would prefer to see it more organised where a safe place is found to populate these people, funded by the UN, where proper living conditions are provided, education for the children and a proper processing system is adhered to. This will take cooperation unheard of before so am not that hopeful.
I find the narrative of these various threads extremely biased and disconcerting.
There is a large humanitarian crisis in Syria. Help is needed to save lives.
People complaining about a minor percentage of the 10,000 may be terrorists. How much terrorism has the Us of A already inflicted on these people thru arming the terrorists to overthrow Assad ? What you reap you sow.
I am glad the 10,000 are being given a chance to live, prosper and grow.
RE: Love found me here
Apologies for Lindsy
