Yeah its really a special place and being there with my Mum made it special as she is a devout Catholic. Extremely peaceful and spiritual.

Completely agree Cc, the world was not a safe place before Brexit or Trump, and will continue to be unfortunately.

I just think both are cashing in on polarisation, islamaphobia and immigration and their rhetoric fuels those that have prejudice. After Brexit the race crimes against all immigrants in the UK rose exponentially, which tells its own story.

No, just no. I guess if one is going to read Pamela Geller and take what she says as truth, one would be considered extremely naieve. The article is so full of untruths about Khan, I'm not going to even comment on it.

The bus campaign had nothing to do with Khan and was planned for a few cities, not just London, to raise money for the 10 million that were displaced in Syria. A worthy campaign I would have thought.

I suppose its easy for some to categorise people when they don't agree with them. It assumes a lack of intelligence that suits someone who is entrenched in their opinion.

Since Brexit there has been a huge increase in hate crimes towards immigrants. Not just muslims, but any immigrants into the UK.

Less than 1/2 the immigrants into the UK are from Europe, the rest are from the old British Empire.

The UK has 4.5 million emigrants to the EU, more than any other country within the EU.

We, the electorate, deserve better from our politicians than lies, and there has to be a better way than we currently have. To actually hold our politicians accountable for their blatant lies that assume that we are too ignorant to know any better.

People like to have someone, externally to blame for their lot in life, instead of looking inward.

Its the rhetoric I abhor. Obviously Trump has not been elected as President, but his language is disgusting, towards Muslims and Mexicans to name but a few, something the Brexit campaign cashed in on.

Both Brexit and Trump's campaign promote fear and hate, creating division and non existent enemies.
