Weather great here this morning too. In traction here as had my grandson all morning and he's just a bundle of energy Talking to a cyclist recently and he's loving the roads being so quiet, small mercies.
And the GOP allowed him to. For me they are complicit and a shadow of what they once were. There is no proper transition now and national security matters, Covid etc are being sacrificed because the cult don't want to fall out with trump. The mind boggles.
Finally, after all the court cases with no evidence there is now a serious accusation of voter fraud. I knew there would be cause trump said so
Georgia’s secretary of state has said that the Republican senator Lindsey Graham asked him if it was possible to throw out legal ballots, following Donald Trump’s narrow defeat in the state.
Brad Raffensperger, who is a Republican gave a press conference making the accusation and saying that he is coming under pressure from other republicans to throw out legal ballots.
WTF is a Senator from South Carolina doing phoning the Secretary of State in Georgia ?
Lucky the US has an attorney general looking into election fraud. Oh yeah, he's bill barr, a stooge of trump.
Graham has denied it but I suspect this won't be the last we hear of this.
''What should move us to action is human dignity: the inalienable dignity of the oppressed, but also the dignity of each of us. We lose dignity if we tolerate the intolerable''.
Baltasar Gracian
Love this quote and used it as inspiration in my work for a while.
First lockdown I bough some cans of Guinness, as I don't drink at home unless I have company. I had one and gave the rest to my son. A pale imitation of the real thing.
For sure And the chat & the craic. No wonder the world is going to hell in a hand basket, we are not able to solve the worlds problems over a few pints
Realist and gritty is good, I find that European crime dramas tend towards this and some seriously good crime dramas out there. I started with the Scandinavian ones but Germany, Italy and France have produced some great stuff. Not sure if its a recent thing or they were always there but its new to me.
Another one for my list Although I have to admit I have t be in the humour for subtitles, where I can just concentrate on one thing and my brain isn't racing
Is it just leftist group think or is there not problems with collectivism across the board ?
I like to think I'm an individual and I am who I am because of my life experiences and the morals I was taught and have.
Some good things about collectivism and some bad, depends on the scenario I suppose. Comparable to the West, the East tends to be more collective in my opinion, some bad things about it but can't be knocked when it comes to their response to Covid
Miserable down here in West Cork. Dingle, what a spot. Spent many a great night having the craic in Dingle and other parts of Kerry. Are you a musician ?
Looks good. It's a very good advertisement in fairness. Too many give too much away, that one makes you wonder whats going on here Will definitely check it out.
Currently watching Bosch on Amazon. It's good, but I'm enjoying it because I read all the books. Detective series set in LA written by Michael Connolly, who also wrote 'the Lincoln Lawyer''.
Logged back on to re connect with a few people on the forums really, plus its winter, and its lockdown Some interesting and fantastic people have passed thru here.
Not searching, if I meet someone, great, I've found the harder you search the farther it becomes, at least when it comes to dating.
Nope, not desperate.
Yes, I like interesting topics as we can learn a lot from each other and diff cultures.
