I think he will be okay to good, not the best but I think he is who America needs now.
The partisanship is getting out of hand and I honestly believe he will do as he says, he will be a President for All Americans. If it was someone else they may resort to trump tactics of divisiveness and pettiness, but not him and he is making all the right noises with his msg thus far.
I think he will be fiscally responsible, unlike the last few republican presidents with the deficit sky rocketing, which is just not sustainable and I think he will pay for that by taxing the ultra rich more and taking back the trump tax concession he gave to all his mega rich buddies.
I think he will bring the US credibility on the world stage, unlike his predecessor who was a laughing stock among most leaders. If America wants to lead, they need to bring people with them, not treat long term allies with disdain.
I think he will reach across the aisle to right thinking republicans and try to reach consensus. Will be interesting to see his appointments as there could be some surprises there.
On a personal level I'm glad he's the President elect as his influence over the GFA will help and will hinder the UK'S government from ignoring it, and trying to get themselves out of parts of a legally binding agreement they signed up for all in their pursuit of brexit.
I hope he does well as the world is not in a good place and because of America's position in it, we need them.
Also absolutely brilliant to see Harris, first woman vp and first woman of colour being elected VP. Long, long overdue.
I'm amazed they have been allowed to circumvent whatever laws or practices that have stood, and just be let ride roughshod to their own gain. Also surprised at how much power 1 person actually has. Maybe it's time for people, Dems and Republicans to come together to fix this. I won't be holding my breath The 2 party system that is in US and other countries, e.g. UK, can be very divisive, partisan & lead to a lack of accountability that should be there in a normal Democracy imo.
