I tried revenge once & it's n ot for me, didn't like how it made me feel. Now I just don't bother, and when the time is right I can forgive, but I don't forget.
Sorry to hear that Fifi, hope your daughter okay now.
A lot of doctors are very good, but there is corruption and incentives that many doctors participate in to prescribe certain medications. There are some positive's happening in this whole field such as peer support, advocacy, open dialogue etc etc but its happening slowly unfortunately.
I agree Molly, there are some good ones out there that use their ears and mouth proportionally and take a more holistic approach. Good on you.
I don't want to hijack the thread as its quite a good one. Altho it proves a good quote can instill emotions or at least make us think
Hell yeah And I would take exception to the phrase 'magic'
About 3 years ago a young reporter from The Examiner presented to 7 gp's in Waterford with depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation. It was her first time visiting all 7 doctors and she walked away with 2.5 years worth of prescriptions. 6 doctors seen her for less than 10 minutes. The other talked to her for nearly an hour, specifically asked about thoughts of self harm and tried to treat her holistically. It is changing, but slowly. The pharmaceutical industry has a lot to answer for imo and the scale of corruption in this industry is off the charts. When it comes to mental health they are not interested in cure, only gaining customers.
