Yeah she is obviously only doing this because she is a Democrat and not that it may well be unconstitutional. From what I have seen there is a lot of corruption going around, but the letter from state department officials, the public outcry and the announcements from some Republicans damning it may just be enough to stop this.
On the subject of trump having a state visit to the UK, I can understand May's insistence that it happens. Even though over 1 million people signed an online petition in just one day. The UK needs allies after Brexit and while I think they won't get anywhere near a fair deal with the US, they will get a deal.
However one thing I find disgusting about this is trump being foisted upon Prince's William and Harry.
This is what trump said shortly after Diana's death in an interview with Howard Stern.
“Why do people think it’s egotistical of you to say you could’ve gotten with Lady Di?” Stern asked Mr Trump. “You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her.”
Mr Trump replied: “I think I could have.“

I know what I'd do if I was William or Harry, a swift kick to the knackers.
Speaking for myself, why do I care ? The US has long aligned itself as the leaders of the free world. From covert and overt intrusions in other countries for their own gain, the lead they took in the breakdown of communism, the humanitarian projects they have undertook (of which there are many) and the control they exert frequently over other countries are not news. Starting with Bush's illegal invasion of Iraq which left a vacuum where ISIL/ISIS formed, the US arming of rebels in Syria to overthrow a democratically elected regime, these actions (along with other countries involvement) have caused a huge humanitarian crisis with 10 odd million people displaced and over a milion dead. This has impacted strongest in the ME, but has also impacted hugely in Europe. If you wish to look at this arbitrary ban as being US business only, that is your right, but its not the reality. If you think that what happens in the US does not affect the rest of the world, you would be wrong. This will have consequences for the rest of us.
Am pretty sure that will be Bannon's goals, but I would prefer he took on something more achievable, like flying to Mars just using his arms. I believe this ban will just feed radical Islamists and the cycle will just continue.
Yeah this surprises me. Obama does not get any credit (if that's the right word) for the mass deportations. He was extremely successful at this and surpassed many previous President's in this issue. Hard to see the wood from the trees sometimes

Reports now coming in that US citizens with green cards travelling from the countries that are banned have been interrogated about their political opinions and their social media. That rules us both out
