Hi, I'm back on CS. I see that there are a few old members here yet. Hi Kim, Eyes, Brew, Curvey, and yes you too Gordy Good to see some new members here too.
Well back to jumping into the forums, and putting both feet into my mouth.
Well I will be leaving this dating site soon. I have met some one special from this site. She is a little older than me. She lives just an hours drive away. In the short time we have known each other, we are getting very close. And I find that I have much less interest or need, in spending time on this dating site.
I have had much fun in the time that I have spent on here. So to. Kim, Eyes, Curlywolf, Brew, Gordy, Wally, Laffingone, and the many others. Thanks for the laughs, the taughtful posts, the questions seeking advice. You are great cyber friends. And it was a pleasure in getting to know you all. And thanks to all who took the time to write me, in their quest in getting to know me better.
I would think, that those so-called friends are big time trouble. Could you trust him/her, when you are away? I have a feeling that he/she is involved in activities with those so-call friends, that you do not approve of, and that person knows it.
I think there is big time touble brewing. The trust is already in trouble. And it is a matter of time when that trouble will present itself.
Your discription of mom is very accurate, but only is a small part of the list that a mom does. I still have to figure out she manages, on some days, to do 30 hours of work in 15 hours.
There are many people who come to these sites, some are looking for a mate but haven't seen any that they are interested in. It does take time, and there are a few that I have seen on these forums that have found a mate to at least date. (me included) I find that participating in the forums does attract attention, and many will contact you. Many of whom you will reject, but there will be a few that will attract you too.
The mayor of Winnipeg has given him an award anyway. Since the mayor is the owner of the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team, the mayor has given 2 honoury season tickets to the baseball games.
His step daughter also spoke of her pride of his action. She hopes that, this will him in dealing with his demens.
Farron Hall, a homeless man, watched and saw a teenager fall from a bridge, in Winnipeg, into the swollen and fast moving Red River. Without hesitation he drove into the river and swam to the youth to save him. Yes he did save him, by pulling the youth to shore. A friend and another homeless man help pull both of them onto the shore.
Often we hear all the nasty things, about people who are at/near the bottom of the social ladder. Here there are two homeless men. A native first nations man, an alcoholic one, without hesitation does a most heroic act. He has showen us a true action of love for a fellow man. I can only hope that I can rise this kind of action when called for. I know that I would have not jumpped into the river. (I can't swim)
Reading about teenagers with guns. I think out here in the countryside . A few teenagers can still walk down the street. And people will probably still casaully walk up to them and ask: how was to hunting today, or where are you hunting, And be carefull. In areas where guns are in every household. And they are considered tools that are used once in the while. Guns are not threatening. Kids are also entered in hunter saftey courses and are taught how to handle guns safley.
After reading the list of differances. I don't think that some things have improved with time.
A irritation I have, is when I spend some time constructing a response to a forum or a letter to someone. And just when I going to post it, my dailup connection disconnects. And my masterpeice disappears into the either.
I live a long ways from the Red River (100 miles). And about a 100 feet higher. If I get flooded write Winnipeg off. The ancient lake agassiz will be back. Last Saturday ther was lots of snow, 2 days of warm weather, the snow is gone, and the river are in full flood. Around here we have a few roads washed out.
South of Winnipeg Some highways are closed due to water being on them. Some farms and houses are now islands. I believe all of the towns are have at least one road that is still open to them But the other roads into the town are closed with a dike over them. The main problem was thick hard ice that was slow to break up. That cause a few ice jams, which caused flash floods. Several houses that are normally safe from flooding got flooded that way. The ice cause a lot of damage to the trees along the river banks. Often shearing severl large trees at once. The big Floodway channal east of Winnipeg is getting used again. The flood crest will be reaching the south side of Winnipeg this coming week, I believe.
CBC Winnipeg has been posting pictures of the flood, ice jams, etc. on its web site.
I think many people view profiles, of people they see on the forums. I am difinitely guilty of that. There is plenty of young women that I have veiwed and noticed that they are way to young for me. And they are probably wondering, why is that old geezzer looking at them.
Your are partly right. I am sleeping. But at 6:30 AM CST, the dairy people are up and milking cows. Also at that time, the east coast would be hard at work.
I,m back
